By far, this is my Chicago go to and favorite place to stay. Yes, it is a private club and I use a recipricol membership from my hometown club to stay there. But I love it. The rooms are not large and the views are not all that great for the most part. There are other hotels in the city,... More

Stayed overnight at the Union League Club. One cannot enter the building without being aware of its remarkable origins and role it has played throughout American history. The ambience at the Club is superb and a reminder that our exceptional US history is a living, evolving presence. The rooms are, not surprisingly, small, as one would find in valuable land... More

I have stayed two times at the Union League Club as a guest of a member who is a business associate. Both times I was in Chicago for a business conference, and the Union League was by far the best price I could find. This is not a modern, swanky hotel. But I like it. It feels like a visit... More

This club, has a hotel inside for members and business invites, the hotel is basic but good, the building has one of the most important art collection in US. Everything in the building is classic, furniture, walls. Is located close to the Magnificent Mile and the Millennium Park. Enjoy downtown Chicago!!!!

I really wanted to like the Union League Club; I really did. And while it excelled as a meeting venue, without some changes it’s unlikely I’d stay in their hotel again. Please forgive my long-winded explanation: As another reviewer noted, the hours of the entrances seem a bit restrictive and unnecessarily complicated. As Chicago is supposed to be a 24-hour... More

We had a very nice stay. Central location was a plus if you want to be downtown. Our rooms were not big, but the beds were big and very comfortable. The bathroom is a little small and the views aren't spectacular, but, what do you expect in downtown Chicago. The fitness center and spa were fabulous so don't miss those.... More

I've stayed at the Union League a number of times and gave it high marks. This time, however, was different. Too many lapses in attention to detail to ignore. First, the desk lamp did not work. Second, there were so many wires coming from the only nearby plug, I couldn't figure out whether the lamp plug was to blame or... More

I stayed at the Union League club over the course of 4 days while traveling for business in The Loop. The hotel room I stayed in was clean and complimentary WiFi was also provided although it was extremely slow. I slept well since it was quiet when I was there, meaning there were no major events in the functional areas.... More

I changed hotels this year for the conference I attend, and chose the Union League Hotel, in part because I have reciprocal membership. I had an idea of what to expect: traditional decor and service, which was what I got. I didn't have a refrigerator in my room, and was provided one as soon as I asked, which was nice.... More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor.
