This is a really nice little block of apartments in the heart of Chicago. Close to everything. Around the corner from Intelligentsia coffee which I would so far so is the best coffee I've had in the city so far. Secure and clean. My place was furnished for me by V-Suites. I had a one bedroom on the 21st floor.... More

We were here for a buddy's bachelor party. The location was incredibly central, within 15-20 mins walking of many bars/restaurants in downtown Chicago. Clean, nice concierge too. Easy taxi and public transportation access. There was a tiny (juliette style) balcony you can walk out too, but really, all it's really for is for smokers to smoke outside. It's not big... More

My family (me, hubby, and two kids ages 20 and 17) just returned from a fabulous visit to Chicago. We booked our six-night stay at MDA Chicago City Apartments and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff at Leading Apartments was very helpful and -- for about the same price as a downtown hotel (there is no hotel/motel tax when... More

Many good things and a few considerations. The location is great. Take train from Ohare or Midway to two blocks away and then walk everywhere. Building has great summer amenities on roof, BBQ, hot tub, game room, and dining. There is a theater for your DVDs that can be reserved, business room, and simple gym. We had a two bedroom... More

We were in Chicago Sept 11th through 13th 2009 for a Cubs game and the U2 concert at Soldier Field. Four of us were traveling together and really enjoyed our stay. We found the MDA city apartments to be a perfect location and also very reasonably priced. We were on the 19th floor and had a two bedroom, two bath... More

My wife & 2 sons (16 & 13) recently spent a weekend at this location. Very nice accommodations. 2 bedrooms,2 baths, living room & kitchen in a very nice and conveniently located apartment building (60 Lake St.). Parking is located very nearby (20 E. Randolph St.) - just around the corner. Price for parking w/ voucher from MDA is less than... More

We spent 5 nights at MDA and were very pleased with the accommodation. Our apartment was on the 18th floor with some nice views. We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment and it had a fully equipped kitchen as well. The apartment was very spacious and modern and it had everything we needed from hairdryer to wireless internet connection. The location... More

We loved the MDA CITY APARTMENTS, on the corner of Lake and Wabash, where the El train rounds a corner at the northwest side of the building. This means that if you’re in 905 or other rooms ending in a 5 facing west, you’ll probably hear the squealing of brakes consistently until about 1am. Yes, even five floors above the... More

With two teenage boys, we were looking for an alternative to the traditional hotel accommodation. We kept calling this trip "our adventure" since we simply didn't know what to expect. And it turned out to be very impressive! Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit was clean, modern and spacious! We were located on the opposite side of the "L", so the noise... More

I selected this place, because the price was reasonable and the location supurb. I couldn't belive my eyes when I walked into the door! It was a McMansion of a room! The back wall of sliding glass doors let in lots of light. The floors were exotic bamboo. The place was spotlessly clean. And..... It was almost as large as... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
