If you can imagine collections of angel food cake cutters, thermoses, paint-by-number bird paintings, tramp art, Fiestaware pitchers and so much more adorning this unique B & B, along with fascinating guests and delicious copious breakfasts + plenty of good parking options, you'd be as crazy about Ray's Bucktown B & B as we are. We have been satisfied repeat... More

I think its quite evident from the reviews and my personal experience that the place owes its charm to its host Ray. I have stayed in a lot of places and undoubtedly Ray has been the best host ever I have come across. He had helped with everything we had asked for and making our stay a great experience. The... I arrived in Chicago a day early for a conference. I wanted to stay somewhere fun and had friends in Logan Square, so I chose this place nearby in Bucktown (both are walkable, neat, hipster neighborhoods) I am so glad I stayed here instead of my generic conference hotel. This place is neat and the employees are super friendly and... More

We stopped for one night and were very impressed. Ray was very friendly and his place is interesting with many collections. The breakfast is a treat and the wait staff/cook very nice. We had the less expensive West room (this room is downstairs - via a narrow stairway, also the bathroom hall is very narrow). I loved the room nice... More

We stayed with Ray and the team for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were a late check in due to connecting flights from LA, but the information from Ray on the door code to get in was going to get us in okay. But when we arrived there was Ray coming out to great us and help get... More

Ray's is in a great neighborhood of Chicago; quiet streets, easy access to the train and bus. Ray and his whole staff were so accommodating and friendly, without "hovering" at all. We felt right at home. Ray was there to help with bags, drive us to the train - anything we needed. Breakfast was always fresh and tasty - and... More

I highly recommend Ray's as an alternative to Chicago hotels. It is located in Bucktown, a lovely quiet and safe neighborhood about ten minutes from The Loop and 15 minutes from O'Hare airport by CTA (train). Ray offered to pick me up and drop me at the train if the weather was bad, and he did one day. The breakfasts... More

We have stayed at Ray's three times over the last two years because it is near family. It is fun to pick a different room each time. The breakfasts are made to order and are absolutely delicious. They are great about helping you find restaurants and attractions in the area. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Ray's B and B was the obvious choice, being just 5 short blocks from my daughter's home. A variety of rooms (with and without cat visitation) on different floors, including a main floor for the stair phobic, give a traveler choice, rooms are comfy most with private bathrooms, and easily referenced on their website. There are photographs decorating ample public... More

Ray and his staff are extremely helpful and customer oriented. The breakfasts were huge and very well prepared with fresh ingredients. The décor is very eclectic, and they were flexible with our tandem storage. The other guests were friendly and open. We will definitely stay again.
