The Buckingham is a grand hotel with a really terrific pool, sauna, jacuzzi. It's by far the best urban hotel pool I have ever used in the USA. The hotel rooms are spacious with truly magnificent views from the 40th floor of the Chicago skyline. It's very near the Blue Line from the airport. Perfect for those who want to... More

Some reviews said that this hotel is kinda old, out of date, aged, etc. But just answer my question: would you disregard or dislike your grandma because she has seen too many summers in her life? You won't right? Especially not when she is good looking and loaded! This hotel is more than that: this hotel is unique, on best... More

Room is ok but out of date, no brushing set amenity, must bring your own. It is located on the 40th floor of the stock exchange center office building. Have to take 2 segment elevators to get to the room. Have free wifi n breakfast served at 3rd floor's athletic club. The club's facility is complementary. If you are coming... More

My friend and I stayed at the Buckingham Athletic Club Hotel for 6 nights. Our room (room 4020) was very big and clean and with a large bathroom. The view from the room was amazing especially during sunset. The only downside was that the hot water in the bathroom wasn't very hot and some mornings almost none existing but the... More

We were in Chicago to attend a concert at the United Center. The location was outstanding! Flew into O'Hare… jumped on the CTA Blue Line… which took us to LaSalle and Congress, directly across the street from the hotel. Union Station and State Street are a quick walk… the Brown, Orange and Pink Lines are steps away. This property is... More

We arrived at O'Hare and took a taxi - 45$ including tip for 2 people and 2 large suitcases. We told the driver that we wanted to go to 440 S La Salle Street. The building is large and a taxi driver is unlikely to know the hotel or athletic club exists as they take up a small part of... More

One floor, the 40th, and apparently 21 rooms only. Room 4006 with lake view and floor to ceiling windows in each room. Fantastic views from each room and on top, front seat to watch the Navy Pier fireworks should you stay on a weekend. The location is generally very handy, walking distance to various points of interests and access to... More

We come downtown often for overnight weekend stays. This trip we came with someone who had a certificate so we paid an Expedia price to join them. The views are spectacular, very quiet hotel and an old time feel. Being located in the financial district, this also brings many things closed in the immediate area and cold only so-so continental... We enjoyed this hotel. Located on the 40th floor, we had an awesome view of Lake Michigan and the museum campus. Wish we would have done a city view instead though! Sears tower and other buildings are on the other side. Room was very spacious and clean. The elevator transfer was not an issue at all. Downsides were the reception... More
