The AC Chicago is well located a block from Michigan Avenue shopping. The rooms are large, but it seems unlikely that the designers ever tried to spend time there. The bathroom door is opaque glass and doesn't latch, let alone lock. Each person using it must make an announcement to avoid being disturbed. There are no towel racks if one... More

We had booked this hotel as they specifically offered 2 double bedded rooms, we selected, booked and paid fully in advance for a room with 2 double beds. Upon arrival there were unapologetically told no such rooms available. Consequently my teenage son had to sleep on a camp bed for the duration of our stay. The hotel has recently been... More

The hotel has a great location, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Bed and shower was really good! There is a supermarket very close a really good restaurants around! Definitely will stay here when in town. The only Down size is the noise! Our room was right by the street and we could hear everything!

Was visiting for the weekend. This hotel is in a very good location, one block from the Magnificent Mile and close to one of the shuttle stops for the Navy Pier. If you stay at this hotel, expect a "European breakfast" without the bacon and eggs - they offer a nice breakfast tart instead. They could use more options in... More

Stayed here during Neocon in June. I was originally booked into this hotel as a Sheraton Four Points, through the convention travel service. It was a pleasant surprise to find out it became a Mariott and was completely renovated. Very nice design. Avoid the "European" inspired breakfast for $15.

Booked this hotel for the price and location. It became a Marriott between booking and my visit. The hotel is really nice, very modern. My room was very clean and very roomy for the price. The shower - awesome!! My only complaint was an annoying noise produced, I think, from the air conditioning system that was an intermittent howling noise.... More

Recently renovated hotel at the most convenient location of downtown Chicago-Magnificent mile is just next block, Michigan avenue is a few blocks away, nearby subway is 4 blocks away, lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Free Wi-Fi, friendly staff. Will surely stay there in my next trip to Chicago.

Not sure if this hotel was better before Marriott owned them but I didn’t have a good experience and I'd never stay there again. They did not give me a room with balcony which was part of my guaranteed reservation. They did not send me my final receipt via email as promised at checkout. And when I called to express... More

Stayed for three days. Good location. The property just switched to become AC Marriott - a European style brand. The rooms are contemporary and well done. And the breakfast was absolutely fabulous! Beautiful berries, breads, cheeses, quiches, etc. absolutely lovely. Clarys (spelling?) made breakfasts even more enjoyable. I'll return.

We stayed here for a few nights as part of a girls trip. The rate was good because of the renovations, but most of the renos seemed to be the outside of the building during our stay. The decor is European with clean lines and super comfy beds. Same as other reviewers, the bathroom door was just a glass door... More
