To say we were ‘disappointed’ with this hotel would be the understatement of the century. First of all we arrived to find there was no elevator despite having 3 floors in the building, and as we had a lot of luggage this was not much appreciated. The second we walked into the room it was clear we were staying in... More

Unless you are looking to experience what it would probably be like to stay in a hotel in Beijing or Tokyo, somewhat Americanized, there truly is nothing positive to say about this hotel. The staff was short-tempered, unwilling to provide any assistance. The hotel is in a very inconvenient location, with NO parking nearby. I had to park more than... More

I went to Chicago to attend a conference on June 18 and stayed in this hotel for about one week. Generally speaking, I like this hotel. They supply a good service and it is very near to the red line station. Moreover, since it is in the Chinatown, you can have a good chance to taste the Chinese food. Only... More

The Chinatown hotel has no bells or whistles, heck they don't even have an elevator! The staff were pleasant when I checked in and out. They lock the doors after a certain time in the evening for safety, so you have to show your room key to get in. The rooms are very basic. A bed (which feels like a... More

*Positives: -GREAT location and price -Staff was great and helpful when we needed them! *Negatives:-Surrounding area a little sketchy... The south side of Chicago(where hotel is located) is generally a sketchy area. - Hotel rooms were gross and dirty... terrible allergies from all of the dust and the towels were not cleaned or replaced once while there for 3 nights... I'll start with the positives as they won't take long: - Staff were polite - Iron and ironing board available from front desk - Heater in room - No bedbugs (at least while we were there) - Computer with Internet, plus refrigerator, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities downstairs in communal kitchen - It was quiet OK. So the hotel was... More

That's it: nice price and easy transportation. Bad: They have four floors without any elevator. They don't help people to carry the luggage. The room is not quite, which means you can hear the crying baby next door. Good: It's really cheap and the room quality is not too terrible to stay in. They have a big dinning space with... More

Went to Chicago for a week for a show. We were just looking for a place to sleep at night. This was it. If your not planning on being in your room all day....this is the place for you. The place is three stories with no elevators. The rooms are small and old but they are clean. You can't beat... More

Booked hotel in advance through a website, and thought it would be a excellent way to spend a weekend exploring Chicago.. We lucked out by finding free parking along the street just a block from the hotel.. The service was acceptable, and the location was excellent.. We enjoyed being close to the train, and downtown.. We were able to enjoy... More

I stayed at the Chinatown hotel for 2-nights (Fri-Sat) to be downtown during a business trip and was pleased with the neighborhood location, the proximity to the Cerma-Chinatown CTA station, and the excellent bakery just around the corner. The hotel room itself was small but clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable and accessible. Would definitely stay here again... More
