We had a long day riding the greyhound from WI to Chicago and were so glad when we arrived at Wrigley Hostel to find they had plenty of room for us. Everything is sparkling clean and new. We had a wonderful breakfast too! The best part is they are located right at a subway station! Even though we have a... More

We visited during Pride in June. For that event you cannot beat this location. The parking is a few blocks away though. If you are looking for a quiet night in the city, this is not the place for you. Due to the closeness to clubs and bars it can get a little loud. Bring your earplugs if it bothers... More

Very nice and friendly YOUTH hostel! Many possibilities to meet new people and enjoy a cold one in the common room. Location was perfect with metro st. almost next door. Staff was friendly and moved us to another room after an unlucky encounter with a guest (which had nothing!! to do with the hostel itself!)

Due to cancelled flights I ended up staying one night in Chicago. It had been a chaotic 35 hours leading up to my arrival and I was exhausted. This was basically the only room left in the entire city, so I got lucky! The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were nice and though not very big, breakfast was included!... More

I booked a single queen bed for more privacy. First, I will say the positives the location is perfect, the staff is very friendly and the layout of the place is interesting and a very typical old Chicago style building. What I didn't like. There is absolutely nowhere to hang your stuff in the room. No closet no dresser, no... More

Awesome place, historic building right in Wrigleyville. Super hospitable staff, first time ever staying at a hostel and it was well worth it "36 bucks" the basement has a pool table, computers, big screen tv, bar, and a dartboard. If you're looking somewhere clean and cozy and not to expensive it's perfect. I was worried that it might be ghetto... More

We found this hostel using the power of Google. We had stayed at a hostel downtown during our previous trip but we wanted to see different parts of the city this time around so we chose Wrigleyville as it was conducive to our budget. The facility itself is clean (for the most part) , the beds are comfortable and the... More

This place was cheap and close to EVERYTHING. Steps away from the train, Wrigley Field, every kind of bar, every kind of restaurant. The staff was great. I got in at 2am and they treated my like it was 5 in the afternoon. Everything was spotless, the entire house was VERY respectful. This was my first time in a hostel... More

The Cavs lost game 4, it was late and it was raining. I didn't want to back to house, so I did a search and there it was a hostel. I got in at midnight and only wanted the bed and pillow, but my tooth said otherwise. I was in pain and upset that I paid for a bed I... More

Pleasantly surprised. First stay in a hostel. Came up for a Cubs game. GREAT location, Wrigley and the subway are right there. There were 3 of us in a 4 bed mixed dorm so we did have a strange roommate one night which was kinda weird for me but he was very nice. Everyone there from the staff to the... More

Staying in Wrigleyville

Neighborhood Profile
Wrigleyville
This energetic sub-neighborhood, part of the larger Lakeview neighborhood, has a split personality. In the daytime you can stroll along its streets and enjoy a quiet meal, shop for gifts, walk along the row homes or sit peacefully in Graceland Cemetery. After dark, the neighborhood springs to life. Go bar-hopping along Addison and Sheffield Avenue or join the crowd at the historic Wrigley Field for live music. If there’s a Chicago Cubs baseball game in town, be prepared. Cubs fans can get a little rowdy and may prove to be a bit overwhelming if you're not expecting it.
