This is hands down our favourite club. The club’s atmosphere, overall organization, management, and service is what makes it great. This is a place where you can work and host seamlessly. Their work centre has been fully renovated and equipped for easy videoconferencing. The gym is excellent, food is great. The only weak spot is the coffee (there are several coffee shops easily accessed in the area). There is no better place to work, stay, and enjoy the city than from the University of Chicago Club. And if you need more, it’s across from the Chicago Art Institute.

The University Club of Chicago is in a class of its own. With floors of warm and welcoming spaces for relaxing, working, exercising and hosting events large and small, this club is the ideal destination for business travellers and those traveling for pleasure. Great food, excellent location (steps from the Art Institute of Chicago), kind staff and well maintained facilities, we will surely be back! We have stayed at clubs around the world (from London to Bangkok) and we have not experienced anything like the University Club of Chicago’s liveliness.

Great service, perfect location opposite the Art Institute. Cathedral Hall is stunning and service was first class. The quality of the food is spectacular, as is the view overlooking the lake and Millennium Park. The Front Grill reminds me of a dining room from decades back - they do enjoy the atmosphere from some time ago.

Can't say enough of location, staff, amenities. First class Hotel, with first class staff. Located minutes to the Magnificient Mile (retail shops) and right across the street from Millenium Park, this Hotel is centrally located The rooms are elegant, a tad better than most hotels I stayed at. Menu selection is what I would expect from a hotel, difference was that it was nice to eat at hotel and go out to check out Chicago. And or enjoy Chicago than go back and enjoy the menu selection and take it easy. The view from The Living Room located on the 7th floor is amazing as it looks East towards Lake Michigan/Millenium Park. This room is totally enclosed (inside only) 8th Floor (dining room) has both option to dine inside and or out. We dined here on Saturday night outdoors, and it was cool out (windy) and did noy bother me. Great hotel, would recomend and will be back

Loved the room...view of lake Michigan in historic building. Right across from Art Institute. Room not cheap..$300 per night but it was a beautiful room with fitness center overlooking the Lake. I no longer give 5 stars forcrooms providing Keuric machines because of single use plastic so you know!

I have been fortunate enough to spend the best part of two days in meetings at the Club. Aside from the dedicated meeting rooms, the common areas, bars, restaurants and general ambience, the Club is absolutely outstanding. Add to that the views across Millenium Park to “The Bean” and out to the lake are just spectacular. Pair that with high food quality, great service and a very reasonable wine list and it’s almost like a vacation! Clearly one has to be invited by a member, but if you get the chance to go, please seize the opportunity.

Everything was fabulous. Great views, service, etc. Can't say enough about the staff. All very helpful and friendly. Room was larger than usual (we had a king sized bed). Had dinner there and it was great. Able to walk out on to a balcony from dinner for great views over Millennium park.

From the moment you walk in, you feel like you have stepped back into the age aristocracy. Rich wood panelling, heavy gold lamps, plush carpeting, all are inviting. The rooms are simply decorated with architectural drawings. The luxury bedding is comfortable. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. This "old world" hotel is our favorite in Chicago.

Our stay at the University Club of Chicago for Thanksgiving was fantastic. The buffet lunch was delicious! Everyone on staff is friendly. It feels like visiting a family home each time we arrive. The interior rooms are very quiet and dark though small.
