We found the hotel to be very convenient to downtown, Greektown, and United Center. We had a balcony, with an awesome view and were fearful that the traffic noise would disturb us. Once we closed the balcony door we never heard a single sound from the outside. Within a one block radius there was a Walgreens, both bus stops, an... More

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. I have to say there was nothing special about this hotel meaning there was nothing good or bad about it. It was just a typical hotel. It was close to Merchandise Mart where I had to go for a conference but it was from away from the Mag Mile which was disappointing.... More

I stayed at this hotel because it was recommended and in walking distance to the training that I attended. The rooms are carpeted and the rooms smelled like mildew. It was awful!!! The hotel itself is very dated and definitely in need of an upgrade. There is a Whole Foods across the street and a Walgreen's on the opposite corner.... More

Honestly, I was not so happy when I heard, that I will not stay somewhere near the Mag Mile this time. However, I was possitively surprised by the location of this Hotel. The neighbourhood is not bad, many very nice and reasonable restaurants and bars can be found here. A walk across Madison Ave. will take you right into the... More

The best part about this hotel was the staff. Each staff person I encountered was truly amazing and did their best to ensure a great stay. The bed and the TV were very good and everything else was ok. I was not a fan of the bathroom set up or the room décor. It was also a walk to the... More

I have done a seminar event at this hotel over 20 times since 2008. The repeat business should be clear evidence that I think this is a great business hotel. Convenient location, affordable and interesting restaurants. Well-designed rooms. And a terrific, friendly staff. Across the street is a great food store if you don't want to dine out and there's... Having stayed at the Crowne Plaza (not this location) previously, I was quite excited when our company put us at this hotel for an event. That excitement quickly turned into "what happened to this brand." There was only valet parking available (it seems like thats all they have) for an outrageous fee. Although I will say the valet and bellman... More

Stayed two nights for business. Had a suite upgrade on the 16 floor nice size room could use better lighting for work. The outlets need to be tightened up they are loose and go into the wall when you plug something in. Ok restuarant and bar

The hotel was beautiful and had friendly staff to help with all our needs. There is not much to do in the hotel, but it was very nicely decorated and beds are extremely comfortable. We had a great stay!

This hotel is well located for tourists planning to visit the city without a car. Whole Foods comes in handy for a healthy breakfast. Across the Hwy is a reasonable priced overnight parking when compared to rates offered by the hotel's valet parking. Customer's service is lacking enthusiasm. Quite busy lobby and mediocre. But when you are planning just for... More

Staying in West Loop

Neighborhood Profile
West Loop
Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is best known as the location of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, but this downtown neighborhood is also an up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique neighborhood to visit. Dotted with factories and warehouses, West Loop is packed with various types of dining and nightlife options. If your timing is right, you can take part in neighborhood events like the West Loop Farmers Market, Craft Beer Fest, or the Randolph Street Market Festival.
