I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Metro for two nights while attending a seminar held at the hotel. I arrived after a frustrating four hour drive so welcomed the "Valet Only" parking. I was greeted at Check In by Michael and Emily who made the process fun and prompt whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. I was upgraded to... More

This was a great location only a half-hour walk from our concert at the United Center. Also the Greektown restaurants were great. We had an excellent breakfast right across the street. Great views from our balcony on the 17th floor. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful. A bit expensive, especially when you add in valet parking,... More

My room was fine. Nothing fancy but clean and adequate. Location is ok for business downtown. A couple of good restaurants nearby and walkable. Safe neighborhood. The Dine restaurant is better than average for an in hotel restaurant, but there are others close by as well. Only complaint would be highway noise, which is considerable. Hotel also has the old... WOW! The staff was prompt and courteous. The room was small but well appointed. Great toiletries offered. The walk to the United Center was SPOT on. Very easy. Walked to dinner (Nia - AMAZING) and I would definately return to this location.

If you are wanting a clean, decently priced hotel just near the downtown area...this is it. The hotel is in an area that is relatively safe b/c it is in the West Loop. It's also near a lot of landmarks like The United Center, and Wicker Park area, which has a lot of trendy bars, restaurants. It is well located... More

Love this hotel and their balconies. Always clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and great location in greektown. Try the Athena bakery down the street for a great breakfast or Lou Mitchells for the same. Right off the highway but pretty quiet!

In general this hotel is nice and clean. We needed a rollaway bed, the hotel supplied them with no charge. The space is considered small but for downtown metro area, it's not bad. The fitness center is a bit small for this size of the hotel. Only two elevators, this is a huge problem. When we were there, the hotel... More

I have to admit that when I heard that I was staying at the Crown Plaza I was a bit disappointed. I have been spoiled staying at the big name select hotels downtown on Michigan Avenue. Yet, upon arrival I was greeted most warmly and I was upgraded to a suite because of my IHG status. That's twice that I... More

We went to Chicago on a quick weekend trip to visit a college. I got a great rate on the internet for this hotel and went for it. Our goal was not sightseeing or shopping so therefore didn't need to be in the "middle" of the city. Turned out though that the location was great. We don't mind walking at... More

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza while attending a business trip in Chicago. There were positive and negative aspects of my stay. I was there for about five nights. On the positive side, the staff is positively wonderful. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice woman at the front desk, Jovi, who made the check in a... More
