I've stayed in Club Quarters before in Philadelphia and San Francisco and this Club Quarters is no different a very pleasant environment to stay in. Checkin is at the ground floor and the 1st floor has a nice lounge area where you can get coffee and there are workstations. I shared the room with a friend and there were two... More

This is a lovely hotel next to the Chicago River and two blocks from Michigan Ave. The staff were incredibly helpful. The room was not large but was very comfortable. We stayed in the Clubquarters section of the hotel. Snacks are provided during the day and each floor has a water station with chilled filtered water.

I stayed here while at a conference in Chicago. On arrival I was upgraded from a standard room to a suite. None of the suites have a river view. This room was a great size and included a sofa area and kitchenette. Only problem was that the fridge freezer had a very loud hum that made it difficult to sleep.... More

A very good hotel right in the Loop, overlooking the river. My room was average in size, but very clean. There are lots of plugs to charge all your electronics. The walls, however were pretty scuffed up, and in need of a coat of paint. The staff was polite and professional. The only negative was on the second night, I... More

We stayed a quick overnight to visit the Art Institute. Our room was small but clean and very nice. We had a view of the Canal and the Trump Building. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. And parking was less than 30.00 for a 24 hr no in and out. Suggestion: Call ahead for where to park... More

Outstanding customer service (Roman, Front Desk), a fantastic location all at a reasonable price - the River Hotel in Chicago is a travelers hidden treasure. We travelers always appreciate the extra room amenities like docking stations, fridge/microwave and free wifi. The River goes beyond starting with a welcome greeting/voice mail from manager (Anna) scented soaps and fluffy blankets tucked away... More

The room was of sufficient size and was very nice. The staff was particularly pleasant, helpful, and accomodating, especially Roman, Emir, and Ninos. Anytime we asked for anything we got more than we asked for. All of the staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We had a room facing the river and continuously enjoyed the... More

This hotel is situated right in the middle of everything. Great location, but rooms are tiny due to the architecture. I didn't mind since I was traveling solo, but would not recommend for more than two people per room. Views were awesome and customer service was decent.

Got a club Room. Room is small. Clean but not shining. Bed is comfy. Didn't like the shower thought, due to the lack of water pressure. The hotel has got a level floor with a nice working space and free meeting room with free amenities such as hot coffee and snacks (pretty nice). Staff were always very helpful and kind.... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
