Really cute hotel with great staff and customer service! Love the location, could see Lake Michigan from my room. Also, had great drinks at the hotel bar. Rooms were very cute with a modern and trendy look. More

Great attentive staff, awesome bar in the lounge and rooftop, all around a good place to stay in Chicago. It is a few blocks from Michigan Ave but the cool lobby, staff and lounge make it all worth it. Room was also very spacious and decorated very well. More

I was in town for one night to attend the NRA Show on Monday night. When the room was booked it was stressed that it must be non smoking. When I checked in I again asked if the room was non smoking and was assured that it was "as booked, non smoking". I checked into my room and dropped my... More

I visited the W Chicago Lakeshore for a business trip about a month back, and the staff members could not have been more helpful! From helping me source gift baskets for a client event, to helping me find last minute tissue paper, and even helping ship leftover items back home, everyone - especially Lois, and the entire Whatever/Whenever team was... Enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at the W Lakeshore. The views of Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier were awesome. We stayed on the 15th floor and they had a telescope for guest use- an unexpected nice touch. The staff and overall security were great- very helpful and they had a key system in the elevator to keep only... More

Let me start with the negative, the room. As my title suggests, paper thin walls and a very strange bathroom. Sliding doors and shutters. You cannot stay in this room with anyone you are not comfortable with basically being in the bathroom with you. You also hear everything from the adjoining room next door, shower, room, tv, whispering. Not for... More

We stayed here for one night and I would not reccomend unless they have updated rooms. Our room was old and dingy. Bathroom has a opening in the wall with shutters that open into the sleeping area (very strange). The only upside was the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Elevators are very noisy so make sure to avoid rooms that... More

The W Lakeshore is like most W's - clean with sharp edge. If you don't like the dim mood lighting of the usual W style - dont stay here. The W Lakeshore is nicely appointed with a great bar and easy access to the city. Great for runners as the running trail along the river is just outside the front... More

We love the access to the Lake, too! 26 miles of lakefront - all right out our front door! One of our favorite things about the city and the location of W Chicago Lakeshore. In the summer its wonderful to have speedy access to the sands of Ohio Street Beach, too. Volleyball, Air and Water show, Fireworks at Navy Pier....its... More

This is my favorite hotel in Chicago, and I've stayed at all the top luxury properties (Four Seasons, Hyatts etc). I've stayed at this hotel 20+ times, it's a hidden gem. Right on the lakefront, there's a beach across the street from the hotel, and if you get a lake view room (be sure to ask), you'll spend some quality... More
