The room was nice. The breakfast was great! Decent location. The problem I had was at check out, I was charged more than agreed upon when I booked the hotel. Therefore, I would stay away from this hotel.

Valet service was horrible. Lack of direction and very disorganized. Hotel is nice and location is awesome. Hotel very clean, rooms are outstanding. I would recommend staying here. Hotel is 3 blocks from magnificent mile with plenty of shops and restaurants in between. There is a lot to see within walking distance. Hotel offers free drinks and I think light... More

If you're not a Hilton Honors "member", I would recommend staying elsewhere as the "regular" people get the less desirable rooms and the room they gave us had paper thin walls so we were able to wake up at 5am when our neighbors decided to wake up and start watching TV. Don't bother asking Amanda for help or information around... More

It's always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have stayed here for business several time over the last 3 years and I enjoy staying at this hotel.

The location of the hotel was ideal to walk to every venue we wanted to visit. The hotel is right across the street from Whole Foods, which was a huge bonus (given the face I had to constantly feed two teenagers). I self-parked my car, which was convenient but an added cost. At the time of our stay room service... More

Nice physical property and good location. We were there on a family visit. Our complaint is that one set of elevators took you up to the lobby and another set clear across the atrium took you to your room. We were there over Memorial Day and the place was busy, so the ground to lobby elevators often had a wait.... More

This hotel is in the middle of everything. Five minute walk to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier and Millennium Park. Staff was helpful. Evening reception was not amazing, the drinks were limited and the food was fair, however the breakfast was plentiful and diverse. Bell hop staff was overwhelmingly helpful and courteous. Reasonable price for mid week downtown Chicago.

Hotel was amazing and a perfect location. Booked 5 rooms for 13 family members for 3 nights and everyone had a great experience. Cook-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening reception daily were added features we all enjoyed together. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Staff were great. Definitely a great hotel and would highly recommend to anyone vacationing in Chicago.

Our stay at the Embassy was simply wonderful. The staff was superb - friendly, helpful and always a smile. Any request was replied with "Absolutely, no problem." A full complete breakfast and a "manager's reception" in the afternoon were a big plus. The hotel is centrally located - a new Whole Foods store is across the street; a Walgreens Drugstore... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
