It was my second stay at the property after last year's stay. I would say this stay was better than the first one. The staff was friendly and well-trained. At the lobby, there was complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, and infused water in the afternoon. The location was good. You could walk to the Willis Tower in a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the hotel. The hotel is close to many attractions. If you are going and you need any assistance, we used Eden Bernal, concierge. She not only reccomended a restaurant for us but she made reservations as well. The rest of the staff are great as well.

Had an awesome time at the W! Great staff, good location, fun atmosphere in the bar area, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Free coffee in the morning in the lobby. Secure card access only elevators. Restaurant was just OK but bar area made up for it. Bartenders were well trained on making a decent cocktail.

I stayed here when visiting Chicago this summer. The hotel was well-situated in downtown Chicago with walking distance to some good food. The reception area is great and luxurious looking, the rooms however are more standard in materials and finish (like a mid-class + hotel in Europe). The bed was cosy and nice, but the painted walls looked dated, and... More

We stayed here and loved it - down to the plush toiletries in the bathroom and the added bonus of a stuntman dangling from a helicopter outside our window that night. It is so modern and fancy, I would have loved to have stayed longer but it was just a stop over.

This was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. My room was huge. Every day there was some fresh water waiting for you, a piece of chocolate or whispering music coming from the great surround system. The staff was super friendly always giving us great restaurant advices. Simply amazing!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Not only is it central in downtown but the staff, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is evident from the minute you walk in. Eden, the concierge, was helpful beyond belief; she made our navigating the city easy and had great recommendations for our stay. The hotel is modern, clean, and well attended... More

Great classic W rooms, even on "entry" level. Super impressive interior and setup! The massive front lounge, called the living room is just spectacular. Eden (Concierge) is an absolut gem, you can ask here anything and she will have the answer, contact and how to go about it. Trevor from reception also super helpful! Would come back anytime. Location is... More

From the moment you get out of the car on the sidewalk you have a feeling that things aren't going to go well. The check-in experience is less than stellar, actually it's less than a lower quality hotel. There is no Platinum SPG check-in area, or one that wasn't easy to find. There was no order to the line so... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
