After previous experiences, I have made it a point to stay elsewhere whenever possible. However, I have had to stay here several times due to location and employer requirements. The biggest problem is service. They just can't seem to get it right. I call in advance, call the day of arrival, and still have a problem getting what I need... More

Our room doubled in price because of a convention in Chicago. We came there to see a show and ended up paying almost $300/night. The same room 4 weeks later, according to their website right now, is $159/night. If I were a business other than a hotel in Chicago, I'd be very upset about how they play these rate games.... More

The location is advisable for those who want to stay inside The Loop, although there isn't good support for feeding, mainly at late night. The rooms are very tight and a small refrigerator would be very useful.

A tiny but very functional room, very nicely redone with good work space, flat screen tv and great hvac system. Not a place for traveling with two kids; but perfect for solo business or with your spouse for a chicago adventure. Great location, very close to subway, parks, union station and the loop. The filtered cold water station with refillable... More

I stayed here several years ago, before the modernization, so my expectations were based on that past experience. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a very nicely appointed room with everything I need and want from a hotel while traveling on business. My only criticism is that the room I am in has only one, very tiny window, and... More

Stayed here with the family over the weekend and over all i think it is a good value based on the location. Location: Perfect. Within walking distance to State ave shopping, michigan ave, chicago art museum, milineum park and an easy cab ride to navy pier, downtown. Room: We were travelling with young children so it was very convenient to... More

Place is nice and the location is great, right near CTA lines that go to O'Hare. But the method for me to pay? So stupid and incredibly inconvenient if you, like me are traveling and need access to your money. On check in a hold is put on my credit card of the fee + plus $100. Thats fine, but... More

Took the train from O'Hare Airport to the convenient stop one block from this this hotel. Sharp lobby with attentive and courteous staff. The active Elephant & Castle pub off the lobby offered up faux English fare -- not particularly nutritious -- from friendly and efficient servers. Each floor offers empty plastic bottles that you can fill with water from... More

We stayed over memorial weekend and the location was perfect. Close to the train and bus stops. The room and bathroom were very clean. Each floor had a complimentary water bottle station. The front desk employees were very nice, they store our bags after check out while we walk around in the city. We were very happy with our stay.

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
