The hotel is great. Location is great. The reception floor on the 5th floor with the attached bar and the terrace is spectacular. Really great. Not sure what was going on with the brand but you could tell that a few things were amiss. At check the reception was not as friendly as you would expect. We had breakfast on... More

Let me start by saying that Chicago is a beautiful city especially for the people interested in architecture. As per Conrad, its location is just perfect! Few minutes from the Magnificent Mile where all the restaurants, shopping and nice buildings lies, its also at a walking distance from the ferry dock where you can take the must do architectural tour.... Everyone here was so nice. Hotel is in a great location. We called uber a lot and it never took more than 3 minutes. We bought muffins/coffee from bakery on Lobby floor- very good!! Price was under $225. Hotel is changing names but a new Conrad is being built close by ( according to one of our Uber drivers)..

My family of four stayed at the Conrad Hotel this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. The staff at check-in was very welcoming. We were upgraded to a 1 Bdrm King with a Queen sofa sleeper. The accommodation was spacious and clean with an added bonus of a great view of Michigan Avenue. We enjoyed breakfast at the Terrace... More

It dose have a great central location near a lot of great restaurants and within walking distance to museums. The room was clean, bigger than some other Chicago hotels, but their is a feeling that there is something missing to take it to the next level. So in short it is a good hotel just a little shy of being a great hotel

My wife and I come to Chicago almost every year and have been staying at the Conrad Hotel. The hotel has been a favorite for all long time. It is in the center of all things to see and experience in Chicago. It has currently been sold from the Hilton to Starwood. I hope the new owners keep the same... More

We stayed here for our wedding night to have somewhere special to enjoy the end of our big day instead of going home to our messy apartment. We booked via a third party website so the price we got for this luxury hotel was fantastic. Everything is top of the line here and I wish we could have stayed longer... More

We stayed here 2 nights and the accommodations were beautiful. The staff was on it from the start of our trip to the end. Our shower was broken which normally would have made me a little crabby but the front desk got an engineer up there in 4min, and the whole part was fixed in another 10min. I didn't have... More

Our room was not cleaned until 7PM our 2nd day-no clean towels, soaps. Manager and staff said they were too busy. The concierge was rarely available even though it was a busy weekend. We even called ahead to speak to concierge, but no response. Beautiful bar, but food and drinks were limited on a Saturday night.

Thank you for your review and please accept my apologies for your much less than satisfactory stay with us earlier this month. I do appreciate your kind comments regarding our beautiful Terrace Rooftop Bar, but I am very sorry for the other challenges you were faced with. I have dropped you a message via Trip Advisor which I hope you... More

On September 1, 2015, this hotel will no longer be a Conrad. I decided to make a quick trip to Chicago before the change-over. The hotel is very well situated to shopping and restaurants. Kitty corner from the hotel at 430 N. Rush Street is a parking lot where one can park for $25/day via some of the online advance... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
