We are glad we stayed at the Conrad. The location is great in pleasant walking distance to many attractions from the near North side. We parked our car at the beginning and didn't take it out until we left. The service was excellent from the desk people to the valets to the bell staff to housekeeping. We got a king... More

I was here over Memorial Day weekend, with a friend for a girls weekend of shopping & eating. I have stayed at many hotels in downtown Chicago but this was my first time at the Conrad. Overall, I was impressed! First, there is a lovely scent in the lobby areas - think nonstop aroma therapy! It really is a breath... More

Pros: - Large and very comfortable rooms (I stayed in a superior room on the 16th floor) - Quiet, barely heard street noise and nothing from adjoining rooms - Great location, easy to walk to everything - Lovely toiletries and amenity kits - including hair conditioner! - Modern, stylish, clean Cons: - Somehow they had run out of slippers for... We happened upon a deal for this hotel and I was so impressed. The location was great- but the room was amazing. Probably one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in (In a hotel). I would stay here again!

In Chicago for a conference, I spent a week at the Conrad. I found it very conveniently located. My room was an interior and looked across to offices, so there wasn't a great view. But is was very quiet. The bathroom was well appointed with soaking tub and shower. The bed was comfortable. The lobby is on the 5th floor... More

First, the service I received was excellent from every person I met. The room was very nice and usable as a business traveler. The room was cleaned nicely each day. A nice shopping mall was right next to the hotel. The hotel is very convenient to lots of restaurants. I was there for a week attending a conference. But I... More

Conveniently located on the Magnificent Mile ( corner of Rush/Michigan), the Conrad is attached to Nordstrom and a shopping mall. This came in handy on a very rainy day! We were in walking distance to the Navy Pier and plenty of boat tours of the city. Fine dining was plentiful. Walkable to RPM, Tavern on Rush--Purple Pig is right next... More

I have been to the Conrad previously to dine and cocktail on the Terrace Restaurant. Loved the space and location so decided to stay this time around. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms are large and well appointed. Considering where they are in the city, my room was also extremely quiet. I was on the top floor, that could have been... More

Just returned from three nights at this property. First tie, but definitely would return. Rooms, decor, ambiance all current, chic, without being over the top. Location couldn't be better for anything you want to do. We lived near this property for two years, so we know the area well and it is changing rapidly (for the good). Starbucks? 2 within... More

The Conrad is upscale and a great location. Every room we have stayed in has been nice from a suite to a standard size room. Staff has always been pleasant and accommodating. You can walk to the North Bridge shops without going outside. In the summer they have a roof top outdoor lounge which are so popular in the city.... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
