We stayed here for two nights between Xmas and NYE 2013. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied with the experience. However, we didn't have a car, so I can't comment on parking issues. The B&B is so close to Addison-Red station, there was no need to incur expensive taxi fares. We even took the train all the way to O'Hare -... More

This was me and my husband's first experience in a B&B. Kinda weird. We didn't think that a shared bathroom would be a problem, but it was a bit uncomfortable to have to wait to use it because a stranger was showering. The walls were very thin and the floors creaky. We felt like we had to whisper in our... More

Thanks for the kind words, Rachel. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us! Yes, the shared bath experience might be different, at first. Perhaps on a future stay you might consider one of our rooms with private ensuite bath. Thanks again and I hope to see you here again soon! More

Location was *excellent*. Parked the car around the corner (no issues finding parking) and didn't move it until we checked out three days later. With regard to the house itself, the common sitting area is small but lovely; kitchen is nice with plenty of room to place leftovers or beverages in the fridge. The French Room was in the basement... Ann, it was a pleasure to host you and your daughter. I'm sorry the flooring didn't meet your expectations - we do intend to engage in some upgrades in coming months. If you happen to return on a future visit, I have a room in mind for you that you might enjoy a bit more. In any case, it was... More

My fiance and I stayed at the Villa Toscana this past summer and had an amazing time. Ron was very accommodating and the rooms were clean and cozy. The location is fantastic as well, with Wrigley stadium and Wrigleyville being within walking distance, and the El is only a block away. We had an absolutely perfect time, and I would... More

We were a little wary because of the bad reviews it received on other sites, but it was close to where we wanted to be. So, we booked it and hoped for the best. Contrary to what other reviews have stated, Ron was very accommodating, pleasant, and helpful. He stored our bags for us before the set check-in time so... More

Thanks so much for staying with us at The Villa Toscana. Yes, the immediate neighborhood is not only very eclectic and even international, it is quite urban and parking can indeed be a challenge. I am pleased that you found our inn and the neighborhood appealing. Thank you also for your comments about management and service at the inn. We... More

A wonderful 6 night stay. Right in the heart of Boystown and very easy to access downtown with a choice of bus or two train stations, both in easy walking distance. Ten days before Restaurant Week I found I needed to be in Chicago for an, until then, unplanned graduation (apparently planning was not one of the courses my son took). The only thing I was finding were cookie cutter motels in Rosemont. I filled out the "put me on the waiting list" form for several B and Bs. Imagine my... More

Ron knows how to run a guest house. He gives you all the information you need upon arrival, the continental breakfast is ready on time early morning, he ensures your room is cleaned each day if needed and he is just an all around nice guy. My room had a big bed and was well furnished. The bathroom was one... More

This was perfect for what we were looking for. We wanted a place in walking distance to The Wrigleyville area. We were in town for a show at the Metro, which is down the street from Wrigley Field. Villa Toscana is in a great part of Boystown, very central to public transport, local bars and restaurants. The house is beautifully presented, clean and warm. Unfortunately there was no one else there, which made it very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your comments about The Villa Toscana! Yes, it can be "quiet" during the long winter months in Chicago. Perhaps you will be able to visit sometime in the future in one of the warm months. Thanks! More
