Planned a large business meeting and the entire event was flawless from beginning to end. I can't say enough great things about the staff from front desk, to sales, banquets, shipping, etc. The level of service is superior and made my job easier. Having said that, I didn't find the meeting red coat very visible but the banquet staff was... More

The JW Marriott in Chicago lives up to the reputation one expects from the flagship line of Marriott hotels. The location is very convenient for Chicago's financial district and a very comfortable walk to river north and of course the Magnificent Mile. The bathtubs are unusually large. So if you like a good soak this place is for you. Do... More

This fabulous JW Marriott is the right place at the right time. A make over of an old bank, Marriott spared no expense. As you approach the check in desk, you will be greeted with a smile and an ethereal odiferous experience. The smell is pleasant, deliberate, and pervasive. The rooms are opulent, sumptuous, and inviting. I have stayed here... More

This is my nth visit to the hotel and every time my experience continues to get better. The staff here is the best - very helpful and always smiling. They also introduced a seamless check-in and checkout. The Wifi speed is the best I have ever seen and I have stayed at numerous other hotels. I can even compare my... More

We spent a weekend at this Marriott in July. The service was superb and the staff very friendly. The Concierge Lounge was terrific as was the Concierge. The staff made a reservation for us at Francesca's on Taylor, and the restaurant compted us a very nice dessert which our grandson devoured.

This is a well-located hotel with all the standard amenities of a big business hotel in a big city and with friendly, competent staff. But it's 2015, and it's time to have a recycling bin for paper in the rooms; there was plenty of space. More seriously, offering free wifi in the lobby but not in the room where I... More

Marriott was the first full service hotel brand to offer complimentary Wi-Fi for its guests, MarriottRewards.com/FreeInternet. Due to the importance of this feature to your business needs, we regret you chose not to inquire about this service prior to nor during your stay, or before posting your review. More

During a recent stay, we headed directly to the bar (luggage in hand) to relax and wait on friends to join. Staff member greeted us with a frown and spoke into his microphone that we "snuck" in! We were dressed nicely but he seemed to think we were try to freeload in the air conditioned snazzy bar since not quickly... More

Our apologies, and although it doesn’t make it right, perhaps the “snuck in” reference was directed to our Reception team in that they failed to properly make a connection upon your arrival. While all urban hotels now have to take a more proactive approach to public safety, Marriott makes no distinction regarding guests who come through the door and we... More

We spent 1 night at JW Marriott hote for my 30th birthday! The stay was great but I was really disappointed about the person who welcomed us (Melanie or Madeleine don't remember her name) When we arrived at the hotel, this person ignored me , she was only talking to my husband smiling at him and wishing him a good... Thank you for the overall positive review; and a little surprised that one of our associates would deliberately ignore any guest upon arrival. While we hope it was an innocent oversight on her part, please accept our apologies as it was not a stellar start for your stay. We trust the rest of your visit to Chicago was enjoyable and... More

My husband, three sons, daughter in law and myself stayed here after a Cubs game. Valet parking was easy and reasonably priced. The attendant was super nice and very professional! Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was very nice. We had two rooms that overlooked the financial district which was beautiful at night. The rooms were clean... More

My husband and I spent our third wedding anniversary here on Saturday, August 8. We cashed in all our current Marriott points to get this room and were very sorry we did. When we arrived at 4:10PM (an hour past check-in), our room wasn't ready. We were a little concerned because we had to be somewhere fairly soon and needed... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel with our apologies for any missteps and the impact this had on your anniversary weekend. We regret you chose not to contact hotel leadership during your visit, which would have allowed us to respond to your concerns while you were still in our care. As you did recognize several positive... More

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
