Another amazing wknd @ this beautiful getaway. We'll eventually review All of the rooms/suites, as this is, by far, our favorite hm away from hm. Always a treat to chat w/ Ms Cathy, as she treats us to many edibles (always on hand & avail for self-serve). Great location, free/safe on-street parking a plus. Fair-warning, We'll be back again &... More

We stayed in downtown Chicago hotel last October when visiting our daughter then stayed this past weekend at Villa D' Citta. If you have a child attending DePaul U or living/working in this area you must consider this instead of a chain hotel! The upscale B&B gave us a glimpse of what it might be like to live in one... Villa D' Citta's Accommodations Director, Cathy, was openly rude, disrespectful, haughty, arrogant, and self-righteous. Her actions scream "racist", openly choosing not to open the gate - whilst watching who is waiting from the comfort of her office chair in the sitting room with a live video feed - for a person of color with a pre-arranged appointment who was considering... This place the nicest B and B we have stayed in. It is absolutely gorgeous, historical, extremely comfortable and Cathy the host, and other staff, were very welcoming and made us feel completely at home. We felt comfortable using the kitchen and other amenities as we pleased. The breakfasts were excellent and there were other snacks available, as well as... More

Visiting nearby DePaul for orientation for my daughter. Wonderfully located oasis that is just a short trot from everything. Had a downstairs room with private bath, very comfortable. Enjoyed the cookies, the wine, the afternoon sandwich makings, and even late-evening tea. Cathy is a friendly and knowledgeable hostess/concierge and I would certainly return here when visiting my daughter at college.

We stayed at the villa D'Citta last month during our trip to Chicago, and throughly enjoyed, the place is beautiful and situated at a very good spot. The service was fantastic and the home made cooking was superb, and catered for my girlfriend who is a vegetarian. I would one day love to return to Chicago and this would be... More

My husband and I recently spent four wonderful nights at Villa D'Citta. Every aspect of our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We have visited Chicago many times - and typically stay in a downtown hotel. The Villa was a much welcome change from the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago. We stayed in the Grand Tuscan Suite - a very... More

A fantastic experience! Cathy was very knowledgeable about the area, everyone was very friendly, and the entire B&B was beautiful. I stayed in the Euro Room, and I thought it was wonderful. The bathroom was not connected to the bedroom (which I knew before I booked), but it was not an inconvenience. The bathroom was just two steps down the... More

We hsve bern touring America and Canada's grand and mansion hotels and most elegant B&Bs for our upcoming book for the last two years. The Villa ranks at the very top of all we've stayed at. Our visit here transported us back to the High Victorian golden age of elegance when only the wealthiest had the pleasure of living or... More
