This is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous, sophisticated decor and top-rate service. One couldn't ask for more. I would rate this higher than the Four Seasons which we stayed at in April. The Waldorf seemed more elegant and at the same time the ambience was less austere. I think it was a more welcoming place.

We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel. Our Astoria suite was beautiful. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and Maya (a bartender in the hotel bar) was especially great and makes a superb martini (ask for blue cheese olives)! She also recommended a great deep dish pizza place nearby. I was very impressed by the service of... More

This is the kind of hotel you cannot fault on anything. The location is great for walking to most places, very safe and quiet, service outstanding. The rooms are beautiful and very well layer out. Will definitely go back again and again when visiting Chicago.

It was a one night birthday treat and I mentioned this at check in before the birthday boy arrived and the front desk person remembered and wished him happy birthday at check out. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at Bernards which was very nice. Beautiful hotel but amazing staff.

A 2-3 star experience at best. For $400 a night, here is what you do not get: No clock, anywhere; No Cd or DVD player; thin paper permanently tilted lampshades; minimal furnishings; no phone in living room area; tub drain that falls apart and shower knobs that fall off; remote for tv that does not work; nonexistant service (requested dvd... This is my second time staying at this incredible property. I would love to say my second stay was a flawless as the first, but I am a firm believer in the true judge of any establishment is not how they handle things when everything works out, but how they handle it when things don't go as planned. A good friend and I took our preschoolers to the Waldorf Chicago for some city fun! The kids were so excited to have cookies and milk delivered just for them shortly after arrival! Staff was amazing and super friendly! Hotel location is fantastic - walking distance to great shopping and attractions and amazing restaurants. Will be back soon!
