We were going to a Chicago Cubs game so we wanted to stay close. The bus stop was about a 3 minute walk (to Clark St. bus 22 and get off at Addison) and it was one bus, about 10-15 minutes to the field - $2.25/person. So easy! We even walked back from Wrigley Field. It's 3 miles straight down... More

A friend put us up for a night at an expensive downtown hotel but when we arrived at Heart O Chicago the next day I breathed a sigh of relief. Nothing pretentious - we found good clean lodging right on the edge of a service business district and lovely quiet neighborhoods. It is located on sort of an odd intersection... More

This Motel seems like it's been around for many years. If you're looking for plush Chicago, not here. However, budget (for ChiTown) and functional --everything was painted and clean. Sheets in my king size bed were pretty nice, soft. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Based on the bed alone I'd rate it above average for budget . But unless you... More

Motel looks like coming directly from the 60tees. Nevertheless all was clean and reasonable for the price. But the noise was horrible. Air condition was stopped but still the fan was making a permanent noise. Road was near and windows/door were not really protective. So we could sleep with ear plugs only. Mats were very/too soft. Breakfast was more a... More

Maybe it isn't so secret, but it was the best rate I could get close to downtown and it worked out very well. The only thing I would have changed would be to not get a room in the corner of an 'L' shaped building as it tended to catch outdoor conversations and neighboring door noise. Otherwise, it was worth... More

Ok, 1st it's free parking in Chicago!! The price for parking at other hotels in Chicago is outrageous. This was our last stop on a 2 week out west trip. We took a cab to the pier cost us $25 well worth it not to try and drive our van around. We also had tickets to a basketball game. My... More

There cannot be any possible reason to live here. I should have gone to the motel 6 near the airport, which would have been cheaper as well as bigger. The room is a matchbox, which is excusable given the location. What is not excusable is the fact that there is no cooling in the room in June! There is only... More

It served our purpose as we had appointments in downtown Chicago, just 15 minutes away. Mr. Chernik, the attendant, was very pleasant and helpful in recommending a nice restaurant called, The Fireplace, just around the corner. The price was right compared to hotels/motels closer to downtown. We didn't choose it for amenities, just convenience and price. The Continental Breakfast was... More

We like staying here because it is clean and the staff is friendly. The parking is free and they have plenty of room. Free continental Breakfast. Better than some less than others, good coffee. The price will not blow you away. 3 miles from Cubs Baseball.

Very old furniture, no coffee maker in the room, no refrigerator (they did put my food in their own refrigerator). In the bathroom you get just soap, very poor breakfast. Only doughnuts, cereals, oatmeal and apples. No toast with butter and jam. For those who don’t like very sweet breakfast there is nothing to eat. The sleep quality is very... More
