This retro motel has a good location -- it's close to lots of things although the immediate environs are not very attractive and notable largely for a huge McDonalds -- and a kind, helpful staff but that's about it. The motel style means no lobby or other meeting space and few amenities. The rooms are OK, though the air conditioning... More

We chose this hotel due to it having on site parking and breakfast included in room price. We were disappointed on arrival to be given a smoking room when we had requested non smoking. Our clothes smelt of smoke and we had to buy some Febreze in order to try to eradicate the smell. We were also told that we... More

I am not at all the city person, but there were a lot of things I wanted to see in Chicago, so I finally just bit the bullet and went for a visit. This was such a great find as far as a place to stay goes. Only four or five blocks from the loop, and there's the trolley tour... More

Check it went fine and the room was clean. Even though they control the A/C from the main office I found the room at a comfy temp. Wi-FI worked perfectly no issues. Friendly staff. Rooms had a fridge and a microwave. Nice place and close. Within walking distance of chicago Union station(about 1.8 miles).

We stayed here for 2 evenings. We wanted a hotel/motel that was on the loop and had free parking. The cost was very reasonable and we were about 6 blocks from the loop....just a short walk. The Chicago Double Decker picked up across the street at the McDonalds. Larry at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We got... More

The room was very clean, had fridge & microwave. We were surprised at how quiet it was. Jamie at the desk was very helpful in helping us get to Lincoln Park Zoo via the bus. Liked the hot chocolate/coffee machine in the office. The price was very good & the location was excellent. Liked the fact that it's just 2... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way home to Minnesota from Cleveland. First impression of the room was a caged window overlooking an alley filled with graffiti. As it turned out, everything was just fine, we enjoyed our stay. If you're going to Navy Pier, there's a free shuttle to and from, just a couple blocks away. There's a... More

What I can say is, it is very cheap place for this location. You can get to anywhere by walking or just paid little bit for taxi. I saw somebody's review said the room has no fridge but my room had it. So, I can tell it depends on the room. The room was much quieter than I thought. The... More

The location is Great and the people at the desk were wonderful!!! Keep in mind this is a motel and not a big and fancy hotel chain. Stayed here as other 'Company Approved' hotels were sold out, this fell into my per-diem amount and other hotels for this particular week were $400+ a night. Bonus for me, they have smoking... More

But the location can't be beat, and the price was "cheap" for Chicago standards. Al's Beef is right around the corner, as well as many other excellent restaurants (and a McDonalds that looks like it's straight out of Back to the Future). The wifi was terrible, and the breakfast was at the hotel across the street. The smoking rooms have... More
