Staying here for a conference at the McCormick - location is fantastic and is within walking distance of everything you could need - the McCormick is around 3 miles away which is a short bus ride or $15 cab. Rooms are comfy and quiet but a little dated and basic. Gave it 4/5 due to location and staff - Would... More

The hotel is just across the street and through a walkway for access to Northwestern Hospital. It is very clean and up to date. It has wonderful rooms for handicapped guests and the staff is very accomodating.

Stayed her with my sister and her 2 teenagers. The teenagers thought the place was cool- so thats a plus:) My sister and I loved that it was so close to shopping and restaurants. I would stay here again and again. We had dinner at the hotel and was quite impressed, and they made a pretty good moscow mule:) We... More

Being just off Michigan Ave, adjacent to the Northwestern University Hospitals and Medical School, and over-looking Lake Michigan certainly gives this very comfortable and quiet hotel a real advantage. We have stayed here a couple of times and have found the staff very helpful, the rooms clean, and the beds comfortable. My only criticisms are that on both visits, we... More

Nice hotel in close proximity to the Mile. Quite impressed with the service and the rooms themselves, quite clean and charming. Walking distance to the downtown core, which was a huge plus on our end.

I chose Mile north, cause it's got great reviews, it turned out to be a let down. Staff at the front desk who weren't professional, they were too green to tell me if certain services were free or not. I've been to other large cities and stayed at their hotels, this hotel really doesn't live up to my expectation, as... More

MileNorth is in a great location in downtown Chicago, right off of Michigan Avenue. It has a fun vibe and the staff was wonderful. The rooms are decorated very well and the bathrooms are spacious and attractive. I would definitely stay there again.

Just got back from Chicago and had stayed in 3 different hotels along the way. Mile North was the last one on our trip, Pros- I loved the feel of the hotel, The young man checking us in was very polite and nice along with all the bell men who were very help full and friendly. We had 2 rooms... More

My husband and I overall enjoyed our stay. We asked for a view of the city, but were told we would enjoy the size of our room even more. Our room was large. We figured out after some inspection that it was the ADA compliant room. That's fine, still wish we had had a better view. It was immaculate. The... More

Hi acampion17, Thank you for your review! We are sorry you were surprised about the hotel services fee. It should have been on your confirmation, but regardless, surprises at checkout are never fun. A large portion of the fee goes to our neighbors, Lurie Children's hospital. We are glad you liked your large room, and we'll pass along your comment... More

The location and lobby were promising and 1 of the females working at the desk when we arrived was at least friendly while "Jessica" twirled her hair and ignored the fact that her co-worker (Cynthia) was struggling with a computer issue. We were traveling with our dog so we were given a "pet friendly" room with the nastiest faded &... More

Hi BMS1964, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It sounds like it wasn't a great one for you! We are sorry there were inconsistencies between a third party "pet site" and our actual fees. We will look into having that group update their site. I'm sure you understand that it's not our website- so... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
