I loved everything about the Swissotel. We had a great view, the staff was amazing and the location is great. The only complaint I have is our room was near the elevator and every time the elevator stopped on our floor, it sounded like someone was kicking in our door. It was startling at times. Being tourists, I didn't realize... More

Wound up with Swissotel after a blind purchase on Hotwire and what luck it was! Absolutely beautiful room with views of the river, city and Lake Michigan. Apparently the hotel is designed where no rooms have bad views and this was evident in my room. Plush amenities, worthy staff and nice bar downstairs are a few other perks. The location... More

I stayed for 1 week and was relocated to 3 different rooms. Initially the safe didn't work and the hot/cold bathroom tap would not regulate properly. Hot water would stay on full blast despite being turned off with only cold water handle turned on. The 2nd room's TV malfunctioned. The 3rd room's hot/cold bathroom faucet also was difficult to adjust... More

Just got home from a two night get away in Chicago , have stayed here before and love the updated lobby and beautiful rooms. My only complaint was the noisy cleaning staff. We were trying to sleep in both mornings and was awoken by the ringing of the door bells and the CONSTANT slamming of the heavy doors. They also... More

It was an average experience for me. Room service was excellent and very accommodating. The Palm Restaurant was absolutely delicious! One of the best meals I have had - salmon with all the family style sides of goat cheese potatoes, truffle French fries, scallaloped potatoes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts - all amazing! Was disappointed with the hotel charging extra for the... More

Well located hotel: good rooms and facilitates, efficient service but bland. Needs some service / personality injecting somehow. In room water at $8 a bottle and $5/15 for Wi Fi in 2013 please! On the positive side, well located, great views, god pool and gym (wasn't asked for $10 fee). I would stay again but won't be rushing back.

I stayed at this hotel while attending a business meeting. It is right on the Chicago River and within walking distance to many shops, attractions, restaurants, etc. All staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is our second visit to this hotel. It is located on the Chicago River and also overlooking the lake. It is two blocks to the Michigan Avenue Bridge which is the start of the "Magnificient mile. Going south it is four blocks from Millenium Park and five - six blocks to the art museum. The hotel is very nice,... More

I stayed here for a work conference. The reception was very welcoming and the room was very nice. I had two doubles, but since my wife was joining me for the weekend, I asked for a King and they immediately accomodated me. My only complaints were that the televisions in the lobby bar could not have the channels changed for... More

We choose this hotel because of its easy proximity to the Chicago river & shopping area. Its a good hotel in line with the price that it is charging. We were lucky to get a two room with connecting doors to witness the St. Patrick Day festivities.Enjoyed the atmosphere and really amazed to see the river turned green.Don't know how they... More
