After looking at reviews online, I called the Front Desk to request a renovated room away from Wabash Ave. due to the noise of the elevated train all night and a room with a view. There are no rooms with a view, but we did get a quiet renovated room that was spacious, with a chaise lounge and king size... More

Booked a suite and it was absolutely beautiful. Tastefully renovated, beautiful white leather chairs, very nice bedroom and bathrooms, and as this was a corner suite, huge living room with and lots of windows. Great service. Ate at one of the restaurants downstairs. Food as ok, nothing special. More

I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton for one night when my husband and I were in town and we had a wonderful stay. We arrived after midnight after a horrid series of delays at the airport and a late dinner and upon arriving were upgraded to a concierge level room. The rooms were dark and silent and we slept... I stayed at Palmer House for one night in early January this year. During the check in, the front desk lady asked me to show my confirmation letter of my reservation. I did not bring the confirmation with me because I had not been asked to present it in other places during check in.So she asked to print out one... More

Always a great hotel experience. The hotel appears to have gone through some renovations while maintaining its historic appearance (oversized closets, crown molding, bathroom tile, door fixtures). Do not forget to experience the great executive floor lounge, its layout and the service. Good appetizers in the early evening. The hotel also has plenty of front desk staff to handle crowds... More

The Palmer House Hilton's location is perfect if you wish to explore the city on foot. It is close to shopping on Michigan Avenue, the fantastic Field Museum, and the Shedd Aquarium among other attractions. Our guestroom on the 23rd floor was immaculate and had all of the amenities of a grand hotel. The Peter Thomas Roth toiletries and lovely... More

Myself and 5 girlfriends came to the Palmer House for a birthday getaway weekend. We had such a fancy time. Everything was perfect and I couldn't speak higher of this hotel. I absolutely love and appreciate the old fashioned elegant grandeur and don't want them to ever change a thing. It is the very reason we picked the Palmer House.... More

This was a great hotel with a lot of history. It is very centrally located. We were there during Christmas and it was so nice to be able to go to the room and go back out on the town when we were ready. I hope to stay there again. More

This is a pretty ritzy hotel near Michigan Ave - downtown Chicago. It is south or the river (I usually prefer north of the river, but it works). Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We traveled down over the Christmas holiday (nine of us total) four adults and five young children, ages 8-12. Kids enjoyed the pool, but I... More

The Palmer House was one of the first few Chicago hotels we visited back in 1997. I was amazed and somewhat awed by the decor, from the decorated ceiling to the light fixtures and more. Since then we have returned many times over the years. Why? - To once again visit this awesome property that despite the years have retained... More
