I checked into the hotel on Thanksgiving Day and the moment I arrived I was treated like a "Queen." Everything was perfect. The clerk at the front desk couldn't have been anymore accomodating. The room was beautiful, large and very clean. The employees, especially Steve and Maramadou on the 23rd floor were exceptional. The hotel is incredible. Some 35-40 years... more

I have always enjoyed staying at the Palmer House. Some of the rooms are very small but when I have asked for a larger room at check in they have always obliged. I would avoid the breakfast buffet at Lockwoods. There is a very limited selection for the price you pay. In terms of lunch and dinner I would also... more

I thought that this would have been a very nice romantic gettaway, and be able to say " "Wow" the Palmer was great!! But the room was small and chilly and Bathroom was freezing..I like the Bed and pillows, but everything else, well nothing to brag on about.. It was okay but I would choose embassy suites over them anytime...Plus... more

Our conference ends tomorrow, but when we booked, we thought that it might be nice to stay an additional couple of days and enjoy the weekend. After spending a week here, though, we changed our minds and advised that we would be checking out tomorrow with our colleagues, and we just found out that we either have to pay an... more

This hotel is overpriced and lacks amenities found in the simplest motel in any area. No glass in the bathroom, bed so small no two people could ever sleep comfortably in it, no coffee pot, incompetent clerks at check-in following a long wait in line, outrageous parking fees, walls so thin every outside noise is heard. There is only one... more

The historic Palmer House Hilton is located within the loop, just a block away from the Millennium Park and a few walking minutes to the Magnificent Mile. Numerous shops and cafes are located nearby, so offering many choices for breakfast and dinner. The elevated loop metro track with station "Adams/Wabash" is next to the hotel. Unfortunately this location advantage may... more

The hotel has a beautiful lobby. Very large. I think the ceilings in the lobby were at least 3 stories tall. Wonderful architecture. Very classy. Now to the rooms. I had a King room that I booked on Priceline. You don't get to select the type of room on priceline like you do on expedia, orbiz, or any other travel... more

I have literally traveled the world and this was BY FAR the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The claim to 4 stars is laughable. The bathroom is a joke. It is so small one cannot even turn around in it. There is no mini bar, no coffee maker, no place whatsoever to do anything more than lie in... more

We stayed at Palmer House for 3 days/2 nights in November. We traveled with our 4-year old to see the Thanksgiving Day Parade and visit the Aquarium and the Field Museum. We chose this hotel based on it's location (right off State street, close to the Field Museum/Art Institute/Aquarium and Planetarium) and based on the fact that it has an... more

The hotel is grand, and the lobby is beautiful with high ceilings filled with paintings reminiscent of the renaissance period. Great location to watch the parade and very central. However, my wife & I did not have a pleasant stay. The service is poor. We realised an error in our package selection (romantic package vs. breakfast package, which is the... more
