My boyfriend booked a suite there for our anniversary. The suite was incredible well furnished and classy: baroque details above the bed, audacious choice of patterns for the linens, lovely nooks with pillows next to the windows, where, with the sun, it was a pleasure just to lay down with a book and a cup of tea. The private jacuzzi... More

I stayed at the Hotel Monaco in Chicago in March for 4 nights over a weekend. Loved it! It's a smallish boutique hotel with a great restaurant and bar connected to it. Super convenient to go down to the restaurant for breakfast and had a couple of great dinners there. They serve really good free coffee in the lobby every... More

Second time to stay in a Hotel Monaco. Great customer service, but... - have to go downstairs to get morning coffee - coffee isn't good. Saw several people coming in with Starbucks after walking several blocks to buy it. Finally I asked one man and he confirmed that the hotel's coffee wasn't very good. -hot water for tea wasn't hot.... More

ShannonTX - Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at the Monaco. I'm glad to hear that the staff took good care of you while you were here, and it seems that all of the issues you encountered were simply with our morning coffee service. In the future, please know that we have both Keurig machines,... More

Love the fact that they have so many complimentary items. If you forget anything it is almost a given that they will be able to provide it for you! Staff was friendly. Loved the decor and the happy hour! Conveniently located near the train station.

Kimpton has a winning property with the Hotel Monaco in downtown Chicago. Great location, gorgeous rooms, comfort and relaxation in every corner and staffed with knowledgeable, empathetic staff. My first choice in Chicago.

First of all, I didn't make this reservation. If it were up to me, I would have definitely stayed elsewhere in Chicago. There are a lot of other hotels in the same price range that are MUCH better. I went on an offer through Horseshoe Casino, but since the casino doesn't have an onsite hotel, they put guests up all... More

Dear Sam M - Despite the fact that the Monaco was not your first choice, I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback to help us continue to improve. As far as the accommodations go, we're so sorry to hear that the decor wasn't to your taste. We find that our bold, art deco inspiration is a favorite of... More

Visited as a group of friends being tourists in Chicago for the first time. The location is brilliant as are the staff. We were really happy with the package on offer which included breakfast. All staff were friendly, helpful and wore smiles but there is special videos for the doorman who greeted us like friends and the helpful breakfast waiter.... More

The room was amazing with great views, plenty of room, HUGE window seats just gorgeous! When my husband booked the room he mentioned it was my birthday and we were in town to see a Bears game. When we arrived they had balloons in the bedroom ( Bears colors of course) and Pom poms and a BEARS FAN ONLY parking... More

We stayed at the hotel for a week and had a great time. The staff was great, and the room was spotless and spacious. Our room didn't have a river view, but I think it might have been worth it to upgrade. Maybe next time! The hotel could not be in a better location. It was a quick walk to... More
