We had a lovely room with a wonderful window seat looking over the Chicago River. Compliemntary wine each evening, and excellent concierge service. Looked right in the Loop and a short walk to the El. I highly recommend this little gem!

Let me start off by saying the location is excellent, couldn't of asked for a better tourist location to stay in. Stayed in room 403 and was not impressed with the room. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would give the staff 4 or 5 stars, but not the hotel. It is in an excellent location which worked... More

Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast (we were comped but normally not included) very good. River view room nice EXCEPT- the decor is WAY too busy for our taste. Our son and his future bride loved it- but it was hard for us to relax with so many intense patterns bombarding our senses. A little bit of wear showing here and... More

I am blown away by the personalized service given by the entire staff at Hotel Monaco. My husband wanted to add some personal touches to our room for my birthday and the staff took care of EVERYTHING. I have never felt more welcomed, more appreciated as a hotel guest. I felt so special during my entire stay. The rooms were... More

The hotel's location is very convenient. It is just a 5-10 minute walk from Millennium Station / Park and steps from the river. Depending on your room, you may get a great window seat overlooking the street and river (we did). The service is what you would expect, perfectly acceptable. There is no breakfast, but they do offer coffee and... More

This is a regular hotel for me for business travel, it's super comfy, rooms are spacious and the hotel has a friendly and modern vibe - love the free morning coffee and free evening wine is an added bonus. And how can you fault a hotel that has the option of a goldfish in your room?! Great breakfast in the... More

This hotel exceeds expectations on every level! From the beautiful rooms (that come equipped with window seats big enough to sleep as a twin!) to the marvelous staff. Every need was accommodated and each doorman remembered my name. The food in the restaurant is excellent (try the blueberry pancakes for breakfast) and the upper dining area looks out onto a... This lovely boutique hotel is in a wonderful location. It is within walking distance to great restaurants and all the sites. Public transportation is easily accessible as well. We stayed in a suite and I slept on the sofa bed which was surprisingly comfortable. I was a bit worried about traffic noise but the windows are thick and sound was... More

Smaller boutique hotel right off the River. Very nice staff. Complimentary happy hour every evening, I arrived just after and they were nice enough to give me $10 off at the restaurant, without even asking. Would definitely recommend.

The Monaco is at the northern edge of the Loop. So it's convenient to the Loop El, but also an easy walk up Michigan if shopping is what you're looking for. You can also easily walk to the Art Institute. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Some rooms overlook Wabash, and the further south in those rooms, the more you'll... More

This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours.
