The staff at the Hotel Monaco in Chicago were always helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble from giving directions to securing extra toiletries, it all happened without a fuss and always with a smile, especially the wonderful doorman. The hotel is well positioned and within reasonable walking distance to shops, restaurants and theatres. We had a lovely room... More

This hotel was perfect for us during a recent visit to Chicago. The staff was friendly and the location is quick walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. We enjoyed our time there and will stay again during future visits to Chicago.

We were thrilled with the location, close to museums, and the architectural boat tour. Sheila had great suggestions on eating, listening to music and navigating the city. The front desk was courteous and helpful. The wine in the lobby at the end of the day provided an opportunity to meet other people. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. We... More

We used to come to Chicago often and stayed at this property some years back. In Chicago for a family gathering, we decided to try the Monaco again. Kimpton has stepped up their game at this property. Service was flawless, attentive but not cloying. Our room was a partial river view and very nicely done with comfortable bedding. Common areas... From the moment we entered the Hotel Monaco for a surprise birthday present my husband planned, each person associated with the hotel welcomed us with a warm smile, introduced their self, and from that point till the time we left were able to call us each by name every time they saw us. This beautiful boutique hotel is five star... More

This has been my standby for work-related travel for the past two years while in Chicago on business. In the Loop, I can walk to meetings and other attractions (like Millennium Park, etc.). On my second stay I joined their club to get free wifi when I stay. I like the option to have gym clothes delivered, room service (for... More

The staff is amazing, especially Dan in the Bar! Hotel is clean. Free wine in the afternoon is very nice and the all day coffee and water is wonderful.Have stayed her several years on a row and am never disappointed.

We ordinarily lovely Kimpton Hotels and had stayed at the Monaco in Chicago several times, although not in the past five years. It's a great location. The room was pleasant and clean, but very noisy. We faced Wabash Avenue and heard the El day and night and there was a baby in the next room whose crying was audible. Also,... More

Karen O - Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at the Monaco. We're so sorry to hear that despite our services and facilities, you still left disappointed due to noise. Our Loop location is great, and while we usually do not have issues, some guests do find the El to be a disturbance. In the... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel! The location was very central to the museums, shopping and restaurants. The employees were AMAZING, particularly Sheila and Rich! They were so nice and helpful. The wine in the evening was great. Price was fair for that area. Keep up the good work! There is no pool, by the way. Super clean... More
