The room was nice. Bed perfect. I ordered breakfast in and was very pleased with the food and short delivery time. I like what they have done restoring this older building. The bathroom was tight but otherwise good. My only complaint is that the tissues etc could be a softer brand.

My sister and I visited Chicago for the first time and decided to stay at Hotel Burnham. We are very glad we did! It's within walking distance to Millenium Park which made sightseeing very convenient. The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. Our room was spacious and very clean. We loved the historical aspects of the hotel,... More

As others have noted, the hotel is in a great location. The rooms were big, functional and the toilets were clean. We also had a beautiful view of the city from our room. The staff were also friendly and warm. However I was a little bit confused as I noticed a sign in the toilet stating that certain products would... More

We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed every minute. Loved the history of the building, the beautiful State St entrance, the elevators, stairs, lighting etc. Our room was compact but well-designed, the decor pleasing and the amenities all there (except a coffee-maker, but complimentary coffee/tea in the foyer every morning). Appreciated the mini bar, the real glasses, the clock radio, the... More

I flew into O'Hare. Took the Blue line to Washington, once you get on the street you can see the hotel. Check in and out was a breeze. Staff is the best! I had a queen deluxe perfect for one person. Hotel is right in the middle of everything. Had a great time. Checked out and was going to Union... More

You cannot go wrong with any of the Chicago Kimpton Hotel properties, but this one is a particular hidden gem as your cultural gateway. We have stayed here multiple times. The property itself is an architectural dazzler, in one of the original late 19th century Chicago "skyscrapers." The lobby and restaurant are recently remodeled. The original ironwork around the elevators... More

We have stayed at Kimpton Hotels in San Francisco so we were familiar with the brand when we were looking for a place to stay in Chicago. Of the 4 Kimpton hotels in Chicago the location of the Burnham is what attracted us. Close to multiple train stations, stores, restaurants and just a couple of blocks from Millennium Park. We... I booked this hotel using credit card points and stayed one night with my boyfriend. The service was pretty good, they let us store our luggage in a locked room while we explored the city and waited for our room to be ready for us. Our room was really nice. It was pretty small, but I guess you always get... More

So many Hotels in Chicago to choose from and so many even higher end, but there's something about this hotel that makes feel like an old friend. From the greeting you receive when you walk through the doors to the time you stop by for the wine reception, you feel you like you're at home. Rooms might not be huge... More

If you're a lover of architecture or Chicago history, you must stay at this downtown icon, which was one of the first skyscrapers ever built. The building was beautifully restored about 20 years ago and is really something else. We stayed on one of the upper, historic floors and our room looked out over the old Chicago theater -- great...
