The building is well over 100 years old and the hotel has spared no expense in retaining the turn of the century feel, from the elevator grilles, to the frosted glass on the room door. The room is very well appointed, but a bit small. Overall service is limited due to location (no pool, etc.) but what IS there IS... More

I travel to Chicago frequently for work and Hotel Burnham is my go to hotel. It is in a great location, near the amphitheatre, Macy's, Daley Center, and of course my office. The rooms are newly renovated boutique style. The restaurant bar is also newly renovated and perfect meeting spot. The staff always makes you feel like you are VIP.

The Burnham Hotel in Chicago is located in downtown Chicago in a gracious Historical Landmark Building. Currently undergoing renovation the rooms are reasonably sized and well appointed, with the helpful staff providing additional furniture to meet our needs. Although our room overlooked a busy central city street it was very peaceful. The boutique nature of this hotel is part of... More

We wanted a nice hotel in a good location at a reasonable rate. The Burnham Hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived very early in the morning and they allowed an early check in, very early; without question or hassle. The hotel is beautifully renovated and offers a historical experience in the heart of fabulous Chicago. The room was comfortable, with... More

We had a perfect stay at the Burnham Hotel in Chicago! To Gretchen who greeted us and was able to provide immediate access to our room and provided us with Champagne and awesome cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery!. Our room was perfect- Queen suite with view over State Street. Raza from housekeeping kept the room tidy and clean. Sasha was also... More

I was overseeing two programs at Art Institute this spring, that took place on two consecutive days. Rather than waste time driving back and forth from the suburbs, I chose to stay downtown. The location of this hotel was terrific - blocks away from the museum. The small room I got for the reasonable rate I found on a hotel... More

The Burnham Hotel in Chicago is situated in a historic building in the city centre. It is ideally situated downtown close to all amenities and sites of interest. The hotel is classy, full of little idiosyncrasies. No meals will be included, but they give out complementary wine between 5 and 6, a real bonus after a hard day sightseeing! The... More

This is the 3rd year in a row that our company chose The Burnham; this year it's even better! The public spaces and rooms have been redone and look great. The hospitality at this facility is what has brought us back year after year. Some of the employees who are 'standouts' include: Gretchen and Darnell (front desk), Daniel (bartender) and... More

The Hotel Burnham lived up to all expectations. It was centrally located yet I still had a quiet room. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - no request was too much bother. The room was very clean and extremely well serviced. The 5pm happy hour was an extra incentive. By joining the Karma Club I was able to take... More

Spent three nights in May to attend a musical and enjoy the city. We had a reservation at the Atwood for dinner in the hotel, but our plane was delayed so we missed it. The front desk arranged for us to get a table when we arrived which was terrific since we were starving. Having a suite facing State Street... More
