My kids and I stayed at this hotel in June and had a great time. The hotel is in the perfect part of town and you can get anywhere from here. We walked to the Michigan Ave shops and Millenium Park and the aquarium...perfectly located. Our room had this awesome corner view of the street, looking down to the park.... More

We've traveled to Chicago many times for business and pleasure, and have always wanted to stay at the Burnham. Finally, found a good price, and we were so pleased. The location can't be beat: two blocks to Millenium Park, shopping and transportation right out the door, and right in the Loop, beautiful and historic buildings all around. We arrived very... More

My wife and I booked a short stay to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel staff all treated us like royalty. Gretchen was especially friendly and welcoming, offering us a personal note of congratulations. Be prepared for old-fashioned big city services, including a door man who will hail you a cab in just a few seconds. The hotel's location is walking... More

I am so grateful for all the staff members here at the Burnham for not only making my pets feel welcomed but for being so accommodating to me when I needed last minute help or had to change my reservations at the last minute. I was impressed when my cat Valentino leaped out of the van, marched up to the... More

We used the Hotel Burnham as a base for a mini family reunion. We had 6 rooms including 2 suites. The rooms were all very nice. Extremely clean and beautifully decorated with great shades and room darkening curtains. Service was terrific. We requested adjoining rooms for suites and two beds in the adjoining rooms which we did not get. The... More

This is my first stay at a Kimpton Property but based on this trip it won't be my last. a stone's throw from the Chicago theater in the loop a few steps away from the stairs leading to the subway. While being off the magnificent mike it is by no means out of the way. The staff during my stay... More

I am typically a business traveler but this time was on a personal vacation. This one time I booked through Travelocity and was treated as a second class citizen as a result. When asked why my upgrade – which I earned as a loyal Karma member – was not applied per my request days ahead of time – I was... More

My significant other and I recently stayed at the Burnham and had an absolutely phenomenal experience. We arrived very early in the morning after a red-eye, expecting to store our bags and wait until late afternoon to check in, but to our surprise and delight Roxana at the front desk not only had a room available, but she also upgraded... High quality staff and the restaurant offers great food. Rooms are small but comfortable. Street noise is not a problem at night. During the day, they are working on the roads: Washington and State. Easy walking to Millennial Park and its attractions. The wine hour is a great time for meeting other guests from around the world.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Burnham for business. It is a beautiful hotel is an amazing location central to everything --theater, top restaurants, museums and more. The staff is phenomenal - from housekeeping to wait staff everyone was top notch. If you're in Chicago, I highly recommend the Hotel Burnham. I will be back!

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
