Due to a flood in my condo, I had to move out while the interior was dried out, mitigated for mold and reconstructed. Fortunately for me my homeowner’s insurance paid for me to live in a short term corporate apartment for three months while this work was being done. Though it is unsettling to have your belongings in storage and... More

We spent five weeks at the Walton Residence in fall 2015 and we really enjoyed our stay there. The facilities are quite good and the apartment had all we needed for a nice and comfortable stay. Above all however, the staff and the manager Teodora are really helpful and very friendly and they made us feel at home; thanks!

We stayed at the Walton two summers ago for one month, it was the time of our life ! Everyone was so wonderful to us , and it was beautiful and spotless . The hardwood floors, fireplace and French doors to the bedrooms we're just what we we're looking for, but more than anything after staying a month it felt... More

I and 5 of my colleagues (in town for a conference) stayed for a week at The Walton. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and it was wonderful. Everything on their website is accurate. I think this is the first place that actually looked bigger in person than in pictures online! The bedrooms are all separated from each other,... More

My friend recommended the Walton Residence in Chicago as a place to stay during my visit to Chicago. What a place!! The one bedroom suite was bigger then my 2 bedrooms condo. The decoration of the suite is very modern, elegant and unique. Flat screen TV’s wireless internet, very clean and quiet. The kitchen has everything you can ask for... More

The Walton Residence was the perfect option for myself and my business coworkers. We had a conference at the McCormick Place and all of the hotels offered by the conference were expensive for small non-suite rooms. The Walton Residence was in the perfect location and near a ton of hotels that our other coworkers were staying at. Our rooms were... More

I visited Chicago with two of my girlfriends few weeks ago for a "shopping spree getaway weekend" on the famous Chicago Magnificent Mile. We rented the 3 bedroom duplex at the Walton Residence and it was one of the best accommodations we ever had while traveling to Chicago. The hotel is located on Walton, right at the corner of Walton... More

I travel quite frequently, I was dining at an exquisite restaurant in Chicago, called Pane Caldo when the Sommelier mentioned about The Walton Residence that opened few months before. I am one of those travelers with breakfast habits, I visited the one bedroom suite, it had all the amenities offered to me a block away for half the price with... More

I would not advise you to stay here. The apartment was modern and clean with an excellent location. However, we stayed there in the winter and the heating did not work. The rooms were absolutely freezing, the bathrooms were the worst, they actually felt as cold as it was outside. There was only one person on duty to assist guests... More

We booked our stay with "At Home Inn Chicago" and they were great to work with. This place is absolutely top notch. Tons more room than you would have in a hotel room and much better amenities. If traveling with a large group this is an extremely affordable option. Plus, the location just off Michigan avenue near the Water Tower... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
