Friendly staff, comfortable bed, beautiful views and just steps from Prentice Women's Hospital where my daughter gave birth to my 5th grandson! I was a bit worried due to other reviews, but I had no problems with the elevators - I was on the 36th floor for 3 nights. No problems with noise from sirens either until my last night.... More

We stayed here for our annual trip to Chicago with our family. Hampton Inn was perfect! They held our bags for us while we went about downtown. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived, so that was a nice convenience to have. The beds were very comfortable. There wasn't a lot of noise like people say there is. We thought... More

My wife had appointments at Northwestern Hospital. We live in Michigan, so we needed a hotel for early morning appointments and the hotel is only one block away. Our pleasant experience began with Krasmira at check-in. She is a wonderful lady. During the evening, they have a light supper reception and Isadore was helpful and pleasant. I wouldn't normally write... More

Love the location, close to Michigan Ave and Navy Pier. Only saw about two staff members in the whole weekend there but they were very nice. Got in prior to check-in time, we couldn't check in but they took our bags so we could do some shopping. Room was clean. Poor internet and average breakfast but is that really what... More

I was downtown for an event that was ending late so I decided to stay the night. The Hampton was only a couple blocks from water tower place. The entrance area is for both Hampton and Homewood. I had a room on the 33rd floor. It was rather large and was comfortable. Wifi worked fine. Didn't have time for much... More

Not a fan of most downtown Chicago hotels. This place was great. Staff was very friendly. Hallways and rooms we're very clean. I was very happy with the size of the room, most in downtown are like staying in a closet. Awesome exercise facility open 24 hours with free weights! $20/day parking attached to the hotel is nice too. Highly... More

Nice hotel, half block off the Magnificent Mile. This hotel is centrally located within walking distance of any shopping or restaurant you could want and Navy Pier is close by. Good size rooms, the bathroom was kind of small, but the overall size was good for our family of four. I ran on the treadmill workout room, which is on... More

This hotel had the right mix of amenities, a great breakfast, and a reasonable price. It is also in a really good location if you want to go out running around the city. Be sure to check out the attached "Windsor" bar & restaurant - it has a good atmosphere with a very friendly staff. The team working the reception... More

The best thing about the hotel is it's location . It is close to all Chicago Downtown attractions. The rooms and the decor is outdated . Some areas of the hotel and room had a musty smell from the old carpets. Room was spacious and well furnished with tables ,chairs and cupboards . Breakfast was decent. Overall an average experience!

Great location close to many fun places....Howl at the Moon was one block away along with Rock Bottom just a short walk too. Unit had 1 separate bedroom that was very large plus a big living room to hang out in and play games. Breakfast in the morning was average.

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
