Recently visited Chicago with family. It is a value for money property where everyone is eager to support you. E mail every morning asking for any assistance required is good thing. Though property is well located but fire station in vicinity cause noise. Housekeeping needs special mention for cleanliness.

The location of this hotel in Chicago couldn't have been better. Everything was great other than the elevators took a while to come during "busy elevator times." Other than that, everything was great!

Front Desk Staff very helpful arranging dinner reservation on short notice. Central Location just of Magnificent Mile Excellent complimentary breakfast and coffee available 24 hours to guest Only negative: Due to location near trauma center - frequent sirens from ambulance.

I love Hampton's so tend to stay at them everywhere I go. This Hampton is in downtown Chicago close to Michigan Avenue. I chose a room on a middle level floor and the room was up to usual Hampton standards - clean with comfortable beds. There was some street noise but not too bad and I think if I got... More

Firstly: the location is unbeatable. north Michigan avenue is like 1 minute from your doorstep, we could go out and in the hotel to refresh ourselves all day! 2. The service was always impeccable and the workers had good restaurant suggestions. Will return if in Chicago area. Note: wifi isn't that good.

Great hotel. Centrally located. Clean, modern, nicely decorated rooms. Decent breakfast to help you to start the day off. Very centrally located across the street from the historic water tower and near high end shops (if you are into that). Famous Gino's Pizza across the street. Special thanks to Nicole Orozco for being so cheerful and helpful. Made sure from... More

This hotel is in a great location, they offer free breakfast, and the rooms are a nice size room. If you are looking for local spots to hit up, the staff is not very informative when asked questions regarding the area. If you are looking for local spots ask elsewhere.

This hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic - great place to stay. The location was perfect for shopping and restaurants - a hop on hop off bus was nearby for some great sightseeing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, updated with great white bedding, very clean. The complimentary breakfast was much better than expected too (fresh hot coffee, eggs, etc.) and the gym has an awesome view of the city. The elevators are slow, but that is the case in so many hotels in Chicago.

The good things: Location - You're really close to everything. A few blocks from the Red line, a few more to the Navy Pier, and lots of shopping right around the corner. Cost - I'm not sure if we caught it at the right time but we booked on a busy weekend yet we paid very little. Rooms - Inside... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
