This is now one of my favorite hotels to stay in downtown Chicago, especially when traveling as a family. The staff was great, although it was extremely busy, not once did any of the staff I encountered show an ounce of frustration. The room was very clean, spacious and had just what we needed. The roof top pool was great,... More

This is a really nice hotel in the heart of Chicago. Our room was very large. The front desk was very helpful and advised us to stay on a higher floor to avoid hearing city noises. Our room was very quiet. Best of all, the hotel is in walking distance to all the high-end shops and great restaurants.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone, for business or pleasure. Good location, clean, helpful staff - all of them! Spacious room, quiet, large wardrobe (too few hangers though!). Breakfast had a large variation of food, and coffee was good too! Internet worked very well in room and in the business center, and it was easy to access. Don't let... More

Great location, 1 block off Michigan Ave, upper Mag Mile in Chicago. Within good walking distance to stores, shops, restaurants, Lake Shore Drive, the lake, Navy Pier, Millenial Park, tours, etc. The rooms & rates were very good; shares the building with another Hilton hotel -- Homewood Suites - which is a step up in amenities. Valet parking is required... More

Had a wonderful experience. Asked for a room with a good view and were well taken care of. Nice breakfast in the morning. Everyone was very accommodating. Hats off to manager, Diedre, really helped make our stay special.

This is a new modern Hampton Inn in downtown Chicago. It has a great location near beaches, navy pier, magnificent mile, John Hancock signature lounge, and grant park. The hotel was really quiet and clean. It had a lot of great amenities such as free breakfast, new modern rooms, large 2nd floor lounge and business center. The hotel staff was... More

The staff were courteous and very helpful to our needs. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the leather couch was a plus. The open air pool on the 40th floor was really an experience! Great view of lake Michigan! Lots of really great restaurants near this hotel within walking distance. We would definitely stay here... Great location steps from Michigan Avenue shopping. This Hampton has a dual entrance with Hilton Garden Inn ( 2 separate desks for check -in ). Comfortable Hamton rooms and typical Hampton breakfast included. Parking garage at Northwestern Medical Center or valet.

Overall the hotel is good, but it doesn't worth US$300 /night. Lobby looks cold and a little bit dirty. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is average, internet connection satisfactory. Bathrooms are small but filled with good products.

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
