I could not recommend this hotel more highly if you're traveling with young kids. This was our second time here, and it's still the best. True one-bedroom suite was ideal for separating my husband and me from our kids for naps and at night. We asked for a quiet room and heard no outside noise at all. Pool and breakfast... More

I was surprisingly impressed by this Hampton Inn. I came to Chicago for work, and wasn't looking forward to staying at a Hampton Inn. My company usually puts us up at nice hotels/resorts. I was very impressed with this property. The location was great, the rooms are very nice sized (stayed by myself - more than 2 people could feel... More

Stayed at the Hampton Inn off of Michigan Ave May 15 - 18 and did not receive advertised amenities. Pool, Bar, and Restaurant were closed for renovations. Unfortunately this fact was omitted when booking the room. We had booked a King Bed room and ended up with two Queen beds when the original room assigned to us turned out to... More

The experience at the Hampton on the Miracle Mile in Chicago was a good experience. From the time of my early arrival the staff was welcoming and accomodating. I suspect related to my Hilton status, i was able to get into my room early. The rooms were fresh and nicely done. Hotel was close to many restaurant options.

Checked in after a horrendous journey from Heathrow. Was met by Candice, she was great! Check in was efficient, quick and friendly. She was a mine of information and everything was done with a smile. I left my iPad on the plane and she was so helpful with my problem. Over the next few days she was our go to... More

Loved this hotel when it was owned by the Crowne Plaza. The change to Hilton meant rates that more than doubled and rooms that were okay, but not as nice as the Crowne Plaza rooms. If accessibility is an issue, be sure to mention during booking as some bathrooms are cramped and you can barely squeeze in to close the... More

Stayed here for a business trip - and what a great location! Literally a block from the magnificent mile - near the Apple Store. Great restaurants close by. The hotel itself is great. I usually don't like rooms near elevator yet I was right next to it and never heard a thing. Nice size room. The breakfast was usual Hampton... More

Enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Hampton Inn. It is the best location for tourists doing local sightseeing & tours. Train & bus lines are convenient to shopping along Magnificent Mile and Wrigley field stadium. The lounge area which serves coffee/tea 24 hours & buffet breakfast, is comfortable as a work area as well as quiet seating throughout the... More

This hotel was perfect for the Chicago trip I took with my boyfriend. It is in a perfect location. We were able to walk less than a block to Michigan Ave. There is an M Burger across the street that was great for a quick lunch, and a donut place down the street. The hotel room was very clean. The... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
