Nothing special about this property. I attended as part of a large conference group. The hotel was 100% booked and I heard several people who had reservations were not able to get a room but the Doubletree booked rooms for them elsewhere for no charge. Room was clean, not overly spacious, and despite fairly recent remodeling the decor seemed very... more

I usually am very easy to please and do not require much pampering but this hotel is not what you expect in a Doubletree. I travel for a living and usually stay at Hilton properties whenever I can. When I checked in my room smelled like an ashtray. I called the front desk and they stated their were no rooms... more

As Hilton Honors Diamond members, we like to stay at Hilton properties and we had heard good things about this property. Booked a Friday night stay at 82USD (corporate rate) which I think is a good value. On arrival, we got slapped by a 50 dollar charge for having our 15 lbs Pug in a crate in the room. Sure,... more

We've traveled often over the years and stayed in a variety of hotels and I don't think we have ever encountered a ruder, less customer oriented hotel than the Doubletree in Bloomington. We were there on business and due to a scheduling conflict we were not able to check out at a normal time. We asked if we could have... more

I booked this hotel for my daughters 11th birthday party back in November. She wanted to stay in a big suite with her friends and have a girls night out. We reserved the two room suite. The room was really big, had a nice large flat screen tv in the living room right above the fireplace which went on with... more

I'm in my room at the Doubletree now and have no complaints at all. All the furniture and carpet look new. The bathroom fixtures have a few years on them but look fine, and are the only thing that indicates that the hotel is not new. Five pillows on each bed, and they're calling my name. I'm posting this using... more

Stayed here with our dogs in October 2008. Nicest hotel we could find in Bloomington that was pet-friendly. We had a Suite with whirlpool, very roomy. Lots of hot water and the shower was nice for a hotel. Very quiet stay even though a convention/meeting was going on just down the hall from us. Plenty of grass right outside the... more

I recently stayed at the Doubletree Bloomington for a business conference. Overall, the stay was okay, but not great. Check-in was quick and simple, and of course they give you a nice hot cookie upon arrival (always a welcome treat after a terrible travel experience). The hotel lobby has nice leather loveseats and is decorated in a silly but humorous... more

First, I was a little disappointed in the room size for the price overall. I found that this particular hotel had one of the smallest rooms--(Queen Bed) that I every was in. There was hardly any room to walk around, there was no refrigerater or microwave, and the table area was very small. There was 2 lights that were missing... more

We stayed in this hotel en route to Madison for one night. It was very easy to find, not too far from the highway, off Veterans Parkway. Parking was free. Check in was easy and staff was very courteous and welcoming. We had a presidential suite on the Penthouse floor. It's a big room with a double fireplace (probably very... more
