We stayed here as part of a package with an event at the hotel. It was definitely an older hotel, but there was no issue with cleanliness - just seemed a little dated, elevator ran slowly. But for the price we paid, it couldn't be beat.

My husband treated me to an overnight stay and steak dinner all for under $125! He purchased a king size/non smoking room for $88 + tax and then we shared the savory BBQ Baby-Back Ribs and Filet Medallions for $25 + tax. Comfortable quarters, old style flair of medieval era, and wi-fi were a bonus for a romantic get-a-way so... More

We checked in late at night due to a bad snow storm on our way home. It was great to have a room available, and the gentleman at the front desk was really nice. It was cool that is was independently owned, and had many little characteristics that gave it charm. However, the room was really hot..and then really cold.... More

We were here a few months ago and stayed for a concert we were going to at The Castle Theater. It is a very cute old fashioned hotel. I really loved the kitchy feel of everything. My only complaint was the internet did not work when we got back to the room after the show. I wanted to upload some... More

Beautiful hotel with charm, character and an excellent layout. Miles above the cookie-cutter big name hotels. I really liked the Victorian and medieval decor. The sitting area with the fireplace was cool, and the entrance to Tony Romas restaurant was well camouflaged, so it didn't ruin the atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were... More

Our school was involved with Special Olympics Basketball this year. I contacted Erica who heads blocked rooms and extras, When she made our group feel like royality I can only imagine about a family. She was so helpful with arrangements, and seeing that we got the best care. Thanks Erica for all you did.

For a hotel room rate that was less than $60, the value is phenomenal. The hotel is clean and the rooms seem to have new carpet and the beds are comfortable. The rooms and common areas always smelled pleasant and clean. Our room was quiet even though it was in a hallway that was open over the reception area. Tony... More

Three couples purchased New Years Celebration package for $199.00 per couple. The actual $250 cost was revealed at checkout. Packaged was marketed as "murder mystery dinner," live band and dancing. The reality was a ballroom so packed that very few could hear or see the actors, the jazz band did not play dance music. The buffet food was good but... More

I thank you for your recent review. I am disappointed that you had a less that spectacular New Years Eve. This was our first year of having the "Murder Mystery", Jazz Band, and dinner buffet all included in your overnight package for 2 people. Your recent review is the first negative one I have heard about the New Years Eve... More

Clean is ALWAYS at the top of my list. I've stayed here many times, the rooms are comfortable and clean. They have done small upgrades every time I've stayed. They have upgraded their soaps etc.. they do need to upgrade the towels (scratchy) . Shopping is across the street as well as food places. A Tony Roma's in the hotel.... More

I'm not sure how many options there are for hotels in the area, but we had a decent two night stay at The Chateau. I stayed in a king room, which was about average in size, had a chair, a desk, and also a fridge and microwave in the room. The mattress was okay, but definitely nothing special and the... More
