Probably the nastiest carpet I have ever seen. It smelled horrible too. Old ugly worn our furniture and saggy mattress. I was afraid to take my shoes off. Sickening and the worst hotel I have ever been in. Never never again! Old dirty paint thin doors ! Scary

The Stardust Motel is an older facility built in the early 1960's in the "motor inn" style. Due to this style (outdoor corridors) and its age it is a constant challenge and endeavor that we happily embark on to keep the facility up to par. In some cases we have not succeeded as well as we would prefer. We wish... More

Decent place although a bit worn. But for a one night stay when you passing through it's all you need. We arrived after midnight to find that office closed so we didn't have other option but to go to Wallace Inn. Speaking to the receptionist there we mentioned that don't want to pay too much for a few hours of... More

Rebecca at the front desk was very nice, accommodating and cheerful! We arrived early at 8:30am and check-in was not until 3:00pm, however Rebecca checked us in and gave us our room key. She then let us know the room was not ready but would call is once it was since we arrived early. When she did call us to... More

One must remember that this is Wallace, ID we're talking about here and the lodging selection is limited. The Stardust is not a bad place to stay. The room and sheets were clean. One of my pet peeves about many hotels is the skimpy bath towels they provide. The Stardust has nice, large, fluffy towels. The office is not manned... More

Located in beautiful Wallace, this motel certainly is a good place to stay. Convenient location, nice rooms, nice staff. The (small) pool of the Wallace Inn (5 min by car, 10 by foot) can be used for free.

While I was on road trip from Oregon to Montana I found that all the main brand hotels and motels along the way were booked. Had my assistant find someplace, anyplace, I could stay and all she could find was one last room at the Stardust in Wallace. I was a little apprehensive, But when I got there I found... More

I'd been through Wallace a number of times, but this was the first time I'd been able to stay the night. The motel is indeed dated, but that's the whole point. It was wonderfully clean, quiet, and comfortable. The fact that it's affordable only makes things better. I didn't venture to the Wallace Inn for the discounted breakfast, instead opting... More

The town of Wallace is a great place to stop and see some history. Stardust, not quite awesome. Pros: 1) very conveniently located so you can walk to most things of interest downtown 2) relatively quiet Cons: 1) bed mattress too old and I was sliding toward my heavier partner all night. when i let office staff know the mattress... I really really wanted to like the Stardust. Wallace is all about history and I figured this old retro motel would be a gem. In this case, carefully read the other reviews. It definitely is right out of the 50's and I think with a little love and some renovations this could be a destination spot or leave it as... More

Really enjoyed our stay in the Wallace area and this old clean motel made it even better. I like the bathroom with its original looking fixtures. Place is very clean. Plenty of parking around the building but not sure about those hauling trailers may have a problem. Located in the heart of downtown. Book well in advance!
