The staff are nice, the price was very affordable, but the room was old, dingy, and run down. It might have been just as clean other hotels but with so much going on, it didn't feel like it. We had a room with three queen beds, which allowed us to spread out. The room included a kitchen with full size... More

While the room is nice and basic, it is the location of the hotel that makes it the place for us to stay whenever we go to Northern Idaho. The hotel is a family business and they are very friendly and very helpful. You are in downtown Wallace and everything thing is within walking distance, and they also have a... More

We stay for two nights at the Brooks and found the staff friendly and the room was nice. Not sure where the small rooms were? It is comparable to other branded hotels. The room had a microwave and refrigerator in it and a table. There is a restaurant in the building and a lounge. The shower was another nice surprise... More

We stayed there on our way back to MT, most recently. Our first time was about January 2010 because my husband had surgery in Spokane. He was not feeling well. Ever since then the staff has always asked how we are doing. They always go the extra mile.

While on our way across country from Bellevue, WA to Stillwater, MN we stopped in Wallace and based on our 20 minute drive around the town, we decided that we would stay at the Brooks Hotel on our last night on the road in three weeks. We made a reservation and found that the hotel was managed and run by... More

Brooks Hotel was our second choice in the town, as our first choice was full (the newer Wallace Inn up the road). This was probably because we arrived during the town's Huckleberry festival. The room given was on the third floor - very large (for two adults and a child), with a large 'fridge and good space between the three... More

Small, older, but clean with microwave & fridge, and a fabulous location in Wallace! The woman at the front desk was super nice and helpful with suggestions when I checked in. Two more things - great price AND a REAL, OLD SCHOOL KEY! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

I love this hotel, although I've never stayed here. When I get out-of-town relatives in, its on my list of things to "see". They've always been very gracious about letting us go upstairs to see the rooms. The place is haunted, and if you are at all sensitive to the supernatural, the feeling is quite strong. We always eat in... More

We just turned off the interstate when we were tired and found Wallace and the Brooks hotel. Great value overnight stay in a real gem of a place close to the mountains. We chose a king room on the 3rd floor and had a very large room with sofa, table and chairs, fridge, microwave and king size bed. It's not... More

We thought it would be neat to stay in Wallace, since it is an old historic town that we love to visit. I am not picky usually when staying in rooms and I understand you get what you pay for sometimes. The room was tiny and smelled pretty musty. The beds were NOT comfortable and not very clean... ** that... More
