The staff here is amazing!! The rooms are large and well equipped with everything one would need. From a refrigerator, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee, to bathrobes. There are double sinks in the room one in the bathroom and one outside. That was super convenient for getting ready when someone was in the bathroom. There was turn down service at... More

Tried SV for the first time in March. They are very cryptic in their promotional materials regarding their location relative to the to ski hills. Once you arrive you will see why. Although the resort itself is comfy, you have to wait for a bus, take a lengthy ride through town past other more convenient and updated accommodations, to get... More

Dear Gypsygirl831, We value and appreciate all comments whether complimentary or critical. Sun Valley Resort is committed to 100% guest satisfaction in everything we do. Upon reading your other TripAdvisor reviews, it appears that you have very high standards while reviewing your travels. Your comment about the resort not being located next to the ski mountains was disconcerting. The local... More

We have stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge on several occasions over the past few years. The staff is warm and friendly...never snobby or ostentatious. We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend this year, and the weekend was truly magical. Between the amazing fireworks show, the impeccable grounds, and fashionable people roaming around, (including a sighting of a former... More

Enjoyed the nostalgia that the Sun Valley Lodge offers. The Inn is the better of the two choices, but I know that the Lodge is being remodeled and will be so much nicer once it is complete. The Inn had nice rooms, comfortable beds and the resort is easy access to town. There is a driver available to take you... More

We have made Sun Valley our families get away for over 20 years and they have grown to feel like locals whenever we visit now. The area around the resort, Ketchum, is growing and expanding but they still maintain the resort/getaway country escape feeling. We can walk or bicycle just about anywhere we want to get to in the spring/summer/fall... More

I have stayed at the SV Lodge on different occasions for decades. While the location is wonderful offering proximity to the ice-shows, fireworks, pools, tennis and ease in reaching the ski chairlifts (via plentiful shuttles) - the resort truly needs to improve the quality of its food. Also the SV Lodge beauty salon was woefully out of date. However, a... More

The rooms were beautifully appointed, the luxury and charm of this hotel make it the place to stay in Sun Valley. The staff is helpful and very friendly, going out of their way to make your stay special. The ice rink was lovely as well as the shopping immediately surrounding the hotel.

I love the Lodge in Sun Valley. I've stayed there 3 times and it's always excellent. Swimming in the geothermal pool with snow falling on your head is one of the coolest experiences you can have. The bowling alley and ice rink keep the kids entertained while I sip cocktails and relax. They are renovating it right now so you... More

Have stayed in almost every hotel in the area this one still wins out for luxury and customer service. We stayed there the last weekend before closing up for a big remodel at the lodge, but they didn't leave my family wanting. I love old world charm. I love having a valet to park, open the door and retrieve my... More

I have stayed here many times and loved it and still do! However the Lodge has taken a turn the outdoor resturant area isn't what it used to be.They need to clean more often and there staff needs a remake in friendly ness ! I will always stay there and hope they make changes soon.
