The Sun Valley Lodge is one of the outstanding venues for a vacation or outing. Even in the summer it is a magical place. It has a wonderful history back many years but it is maintained extremely well. The natural beauty is outstanding and the accomodations, food, and staff are all first class. Everyone in our group was very satisfied... more

A nicely modernized historic Lodge in a beautiful location with very pleasing grounds. Rooms were fine and the Ram restaurant was excellent with terrace dining overlooking a pond and grass lawn. When they say rooms are not ready until 4 p.m. they mean it! more

Worst hotel stay in five years!!! Idiot at the front desk quoted the room at $239 with KING size bed. After my accepting the room, this [--] corrected himself saying,"It has a queen size, not King...NO Matter". Furthermore, he confirmed the MAIN dining Room, on the second floor was serving til ten pm. Once again, he was wrong. main dining... more

Recently stayed three nights at the Sun Valley Lodge for a family wedding. The hotel was really luxurious. Lovely, without being stuffy is how you could describe it. The area is really beautiful as well, and it was perfect setting for an outdoor wedding in May. This is a great spot for families, as well as honeymooners. Though it opened... more

Having just returned from Sun Valley and a few inspections I have to say that the Sun Valley Lodge is tired. I was told that an enormous amount of money is being spent to upgrade but I did not see any evidence of it. The restaurant looks good on the surface but there are rips and stains on the upholstery... more

Stayed in a deluxe three bedroom condo for a week in January. Just an absolutely perfect experience. There was honestly nothing that the staff would not do for us. There is free bus shuttle service to downtown Ketchum and to either ski area. When we had a question about the schedule in order to make a dinner reservation, the lodge... more

The Sun Valley Lodge was reccommended by a representative of Sun Valley Central Reservations for it's beauty and luxury...'the ultimate Sun Valley experience'. The 'Lodge' lived up to it's reputation with respect to the reccommedation. Our room was immaculate, as was the hotel in general. The restaurants at the Sun Valley resort were very good overall too. However, with the... more

We have stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge twice now. Both times we stayed just one night and skied for 2 days. The basic rooms at the lodge are really nice. The service has also been excellent. The large outdoor hot tub is awesome in the winter. Can't think of a better way to spend some time after a long... more

I stayed at Sun Valley Lodge in June, which is a slow period. I was upgraded to the "Hemmingway" suite, which was very large and I'm sure some would conisder it nice; however, the style of the room was old (which is not my taste). Also, the bathroom was very out-dated and not in good repair. The staff in the... more

I always loving spring skiing in Sun Valley. The Lodge always offers a GREAT time. 4 star in my book from the time the doorman opened the door and stored our skis in a lock area, til check out using the logde computer system hooked up via the 42" flat screen in our room. The view of the ice rink... more
