Stayed two nights in summer. Older, but large and nice rooms. Very nice conference there. Very nice place to stay while visiting Sun Valley. Expensive but convenient. Banquet service was good. Visited Trail Cabin, a Hemingway haunt.

Such a quaint and charming place to stay. The people were so nice and welcome and service oriented. Front desk agent we sweet and very accommodating. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy there job. Amenities were great. They offered and ice show while we there as well and snowing shopping and restaurants on property. All around very very pleasurable trip for... More

The Sun Valley Inn. It's cozy a bit like going to grandma's hous. The rooms are large. Free wifi. Coffee service in room. Small workout facilty and a circular heated pool. The Lodge is much nicer and newly renovated. There are a few different food options, candy store, ice cream shop and a toy store. Several golf courses right there.... More

I find it interesting that there are separate TA listings for the Inn & the Lodge as they are both part of the same establishment, served by the same reservation desk, common amenities... There are however significant differences. The lodge was recently closed and completely renovated. The Inn is definitely in need of some updates as well. We have stayed... More

We had booked this as a last evening of luxury at the end of our Idaho road trip, and what a huge disappointment. It cost nearly as much as the previous three nights' stay put together, and certainly was not worth it. We arrived early and had to wait for our room to be ready. Fair enough. However, when we... We stayed at the Inn in early July. There is much to like about the Inn/Lodge complex, but there are also signs that management is not paying attention. The signs include a consistent and annoying lack of bell and doorman staff ("oh, you called for your car 20 minutes ago?"), no dressers in the rooms = no place to unpack,... More

Wow, Jake T ( poster of an earlier review) and my party had absolutely opposite experiences at the beautiful Sun Valley Inn! We loved every minute of our too short 3 day stay. The Inn is beautiful, well attended and situated in a magical setting. The landscaping is breathtaking. The rooms in the Inn, while somewhat dated esp the bathrooms,... More

What a disappointment. The problems were poor service from the front desk to the restaurant to catering and housekeeping. It is obvious that management has no concern for the customers. Worst issue at the front desk, physical keys which then require waiting in line to check out, why no bill under the door. Housekeeping rooms, great that there were foam... More

Famous Sun Valley has faded but the Inn still has the charm and nostalgia that makes Sun Valley fantastic. We visited in Slack Season and had a great time. The front desk accommodated my request for a room with a balcony by upgrading us toe a junior suite. It was fantastic. Everyone was very nice and attentive, I was surprised... More

We stayed at the Sun Valley Inn and were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to our initial booking. We enjoyed our stay during the slack season, not as much was open in the village or in the town of Ketchum but we still found plenty to do. All the staff we encountered were lovely - especially the front desk.
