This is a "no-frills" RV park. But put that aside...because the rest of what this park has to offer FAR overshadows anything negative you might have read! The park has two levels; the lower level is tree'd with a central firepit area that's large enough for a great get-together and meeting new friends. There's several large grassy areas for tent... My wife and I stayed at the Elk Mountain RV Resort for one night during a recent week-long motorcycle tour through Montana and Idaho. We set up our tent on the grass behind the restaurant. The site was spacious and comfortable with access to free hot showers and complimentary laundry facilities. The price for overnight tenting was reasonable and the... More

We didn't stay in the RV park but we did eat at the cafe. The service is very good and the food is outstanding. Also the most reasonable prices in the entire Stanley area. We tried several restaurants and cafes and there's no comparison on quality, service, price and friendliness of staff. It's our new "usual" in Stanley. Did I... More

This park provides full hook ups which is all you need in many cases. There is an upper level that is basically bare ground consisting of all back in spaces. The sites are not long so your rig generally will hang over the back edge. The lower level is heavily covered with pines so if you want satellite access, request... More

What a nice surprise. I made reservations without seeing this RV resort. The resort is old, small, and a bit dusty, but overall it was fantastic. Part of my review always takes into consideration how we are treated by staff and the attitude of the those we meet at a resort. This resort has full hookups, great food and staff... More

We stayed here for two nights tent camoping while on a motorcycle ride through Idaho, part of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and back to Colorado. While the facility may have been lacking in someways for some, we found it to be very enjoyable and complete for our needs. The restautant in the lodge was good and the showers and bath were... This might not be the most modern campground you come across, so don't expect high tech design, but all the basic needs are covered and that is what you need when you camp out! We stayed a week in a tent and it was a nice experience. The restaurant was great, the showers where OK, location is perfect and although... More

We have stayed here 3 nights. Was told to park our ATV trailer a certain place and then got chewed out the next day for parking it there. So that night we parked it away from our trailer and came back today from a ride and now don't know where to park it because someone else is parked there. We... More

To call this campground a resort is a farce. The RV sites are not level and extremely small with no pad, just dirt (sans grass). The restrooms and small shower stalls are part of the "resort's" restaurant. Rather uncomfortable to stroll into the restroom for a shower, sharing the same facility with restuarant patrons. One of the showers in the... More

I love this rustic campground with a great restaurant, too! People are wonderfully friendly and make you feel at home. Perfect launch spot for hiking, fishing, off road riding and any thing you want to do in the Sawtooth/Stanley area. This is a rustic campground with full hookups. Close to downtown Stanley, friendly community. It's quiet here, not an interstate... More
