this hotel is one that is so wonderful. The staff is lovely and the view of the mountains are so wonderful it makes waking up a reality. The place is situated close to the bar so when you want to have fun just go in and have a drink.

My son and I, traveling on a fly fishing trip, happened upon Stanley and thus Mtn. Village Resort. What a hoot. The hotel is just what you see here plus clean and friendly. There's a bar next door that is again...everything you would expect. Great fun! Don't think this town of 67 does not know what it is doing. It... More

We stayed here 1 night on our way from Boise to Salmon. Beautiful area. Our room was clean and comfortable and affordable. The staff very friendly. On the property is a hotsprings for registered guests. Very relaxing and beautiful. Resturant nearby serving good food with friendly service. We would stay here again.

We arrived the sunday of Labor Day weekend without any reservations. We were lucky and they had a room left. We enjoyed the hotel and really like the hot springs the next morning. Nothing special but rooms were clean and staff was polite

The Riverview was full when I hit town, so I stayed at the Mountain Village Resort. Rooms are very basic but I felt safe and had a good night's sleep. Reasonably priced too. They have a bar, restaurant and gift shops nearby. There was probably more going on at this hotel than any other spot in town. Lots of people... More

Driving up from Idaho towards Montana we passed Stanley, a small village catering for outdoor activities. We stopped by the fist motel at the junction, and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who arranged for a room for one night. The rate included free drinks in the bar next door, and a 10% discount on dinners. The rooms are basic,... More

"Resort" may be an overstatement, but we enjoyed our stay here for one night. It has the typical regional log cabin styling, with an attached restaurant, merc across the street and gas station. we had lunch at the restaurant and it was adequate. We did choose to go further up the road for dinner in the evening. We were able... More

Living in Idaho we get to see the Sawtooth Mountains often, but when family comes into town we want to show them the spectacular views. So this year we head off on a 10 day vacation with my brother and his wife. Leaving late on the first afternoon we arrive Stanley. We don't make reservations so we checked Upper Stanley... More

This year's motorcycle adventure took us to the U.S. Northwest, destination Idaho. Our interest in this part of the world was piqued by a wonderful PBS program called "Outdoor Idaho" and a feature they did on the scenic byways throughout the state. We wandered into the mountains along the Sawtooth Byway and came across the charming Mountain Village Resort. With... More

We stayed for three nights in Mountain Village Resort. The room was comfortable clean and in a great location. Brenda at the font desk was friendly and helpful but the other staff member was not so courteous. There are services right there which include a gas station, market, restaurant and great outdoor equipment store. You can also book time via... More
