Stayed 2 nights. Office staff was great. Room was awesome and very clean. Decor fit the town perfectly. There is no air conditioning, however, if you research this part of the country you will find it is not necessary. There is a ceiling fan and window which is all that is needed.

A bit over priced but we walked in for a last minute reservation during a busy rafting and craft fair week. The room was nice enough. The bed was too soft for us but the linens were nice. No frig or microwave in the room. There is coffee available in the lobby. They do have a small "library" type reading... More

We stayed here one night before our rafting trip, and two nights afterwards. Last year when we stayed two nights, we thought it was a decent value but it needed some spiffing up. Unfortunately, the same issues are present. Wifi is very poor and nonexistent in the breakfast room. Breakfast is discontinued, by the way, with only coffee and average... More

We were in the area to drop off a trailer to the juvenile diabetes camp and ended up staying at the High Country Inn for the night before returning home. We had never spent a lot of time in the area so it was a great chance to check out the activities and food, of which there are many great... More

We stayed in Stanley for 2 nights as a base for dayhiking in the Sawtooth Mountains. We were the first clients of the season, so we had the place to ourselves. (Note: while the Inn opens in mid-May, the restaurant (Back Country Bistro) does not open until late June.) The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They... More

It was a very comfortable stay. The rooms were a nice size with a very comfortable bed. The balcony runs the length of the building with no dividers between rooms. (we loved this option because we shared it with family) The location was very convenient to all the food, drinks and grocery. I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I have been coming to Stanley for 8 years. Our favorite place to stay is without question the High Country Inn. It's comfortable, clean, has a wonderful location just on the outskirts of "downtown" and the staff headed up by Melinda and including the trio of Australian Shepherd's (Ringo, Mesa and Boulder) is simply superlative, friendly and... The most personable and hard working hotel general manager, chef and staff I have ever known. The weather was cold and rainy but these fine people more than made up for it with their hospitality and friendliness. They made my son and I feel like family. I would say these rooms are the "cleanest in the world" but since I... More

I wish I could say more nice things about this place but the first thing I noticed was how filthy the carpet in the dining room was! Come on owners, you're have an expensive restaurant but are too cheap to put down a decent wood floor?! The rooms were dated but large. The "full" buffet breakfast was just ok.. Nothing... More
