There's not a room in the entire hotel where you don't hear absolutely everything (and I mean everything). We could hear dinner guests' conversation, bar tenders' conversations, every person walking in and out on our floor, every conversation uttered in the rooms surrounding us. No bathrooms in the rooms, they're down the hall, with the two showers you'll share with... More

We had a very nice visit to Stanley, Idaho and enjoyed staying at the rustic Sawtooth Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms were quaint but comfortable and the views were spectacular. To top it off, we had a delicious breakfast at the Stanley Baking Company which is owned and operated by the same people. All in all... More

What an awesome little place! Kelly was super sweet and helpful. The room was small but all we needed to do was shower and sleep! A beautiful view of the Sawtooth mountains from our room! A walk down the block is a fun bar and around the corner an awesome bakery for breakfast! We loved it and will definitely be... More

The room was clean, quaint and tastefully rustic. However, we didn't sleep well at all due to the noise level. Our room was on the second floor above the restaurant/bar (as are all of the rooms) and we might as well have rolled out a sleeping bag in the middle of the restaurant floor. The bar/restaurant got louder as the... More

Liz, I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience at our historic Sawtooth Hotel. Yes the dining room was quite noisy with large groups last weekend and I apologize. Closing up did take a bit longer than normal and I did have to ask diners to try and lower their voices. I am a bit confused about the... More

The beds where soft, way to soft (as least to my liking). So far this was by far the worst bed I had on the 2+ week trip we are making. At some point during the night I decided to sleep on the floor. Our room was really small (but we knew that up front) The view was really great... More

Decided to take scenic route from Boise to Driggs and Stanley is the ideal place to break the drive. The innkeepers were communicative, cordial and helpful; and the accommodations were rustic, compact, clean, complete and comfortable. Although the hotel's bar and restaurant were closed on Wednesdays, everything in Stanley is in walking distance and I had a very nice dinner... More

I recently lost my wallet while vacationing in Stanley and didn't realize it until well down the road. I enlisted the help of the proprietor of the Sawtooth and the wallet was found at the bakery cafe. She called me and mailed me my wallet in California. I so appreciated her help and she truly was my lifesaver!

Stanley Idaho boasts a population of 67. surprisingly the town is much larger, very probably because of the number of accommodations and eateries catering to travelers. the Sawtooth is exactly as advertised, an early 20th century Hotel which has been very nicely refurbished, yet maintains a rustic charm. my room was quite small, yet appointed with period pieces. The the... More

We had our dream wedding in Stanley. Our photographer recommended the Sawtooth Hotel and it was the perfect place to stay. The restaurant was fabulous. The service was above and beyond and the room was very clean. We will not stay anywhere else next time we are in Stanley. The views are the best in town!

We found Stanley delightful and the Sawtooth Inn was a welcoming and cozy place to stay. The ambiance is rustic, but has a much finer style than the usual Western bric-a-brac. More like the Himalayas meets Idaho. Great views of the mountains and wide open spaces. Shared bathrooms were fine, and although our room was small we certainly enjoyed our... More
