I stayed here in June 2014, for a first time visit to Stanley Idaho. The town was very unique and beautiful. The service at the hotel was great. The manager and staff were very caring even before I arrived, communicating with me about arrival time and weather information. The rooms and amenities were clean and comfortable. The hotel was recently... More

Cute little old hotel, with teeny rooms furnished with vintage furniture, and bathrooms/showers down the hall and around the corner. (There are rooms with en suite bathrooms, but we did not want to pay the extra for that.) Loved sitting out on the little balcony at the end of the hall, with a glass of wine, as the sun went... We recently stayed in room 9. The staff was very friendly and the room décor was what I'd call "updated rustic". Modern plumbing, king bed but with a pioneer feel. Very nice! The only down side (and no fault of the hotel of staff) was that the smoke from the nearby forest fires obliterated the Million Dollar view! The limited... More

This was my second stay at Sawtooth Hotel. The first stay was in one of the rooms upstairs. The room was comfortable and very clean, although 'rustic'. This trip I stayed in Cabin 14 with a companion. The room included a small kitchen area and was kind of crowded for two people, but we managed. Pulled bed out from wall... More

The sawtooth Hotel is a historic and very rustic venue. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you want a unique experience in a beautiful location...it's perfect. Rooms are small, some don't have private baths. Our room had a very updated bath although the rooms are authentic. Staff is friendly and helpful.... More

I spent one night here while travelling solo through the area on an extended motorcycle trip. This historic-style hotel and restaurant were the perfect complement for this kind of rugged travel. The property is crammed into an ancient log building and so is understandably crowded but quaint and very comfortable. About a dozen rooms are packed upstairs over the kitchen... More

I'm glad we stayed here, but I don't think I'd return. It's not a bed-and-breakfast. You're on your own for that; the staff recommends a little restaurant about two blocks away, perhaps the only one in town, crowded, but the food is good. The rooms in this rugged, historic hotel are located on the second floor above the restaurant and... More

Hotel is small but cozy. Rooms have been modernized and are super comfortable. The manager/owner is very accommodating and will go out of her way to make your visit enjoyable. You can sit on the porch before dinner, enjoy the great scenery, have you meal and (on weekends) enjoy some after-dinner live music.

At least the Sawtooth Hotel comes by the burden of "Old West" cute under which it staggers honestly given the town and it's history. Also, it might be out of place in this "Too cute by half" tourist destination were it otherwise. The very competent woman at the check in desk, sensed that "friendly flippant" wasn't working and smoothly transitioned... More

Loved the Sawtooth Hotel. We stayed on recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed! We stayed in one of the outer area rooms that has its own bathroom. Other than the spider, I had no troubles with the room. A small kitchenette was perfect for cooking up a little breakfast in the morning. The attached restaurant had great... More
