We're from the Boise area and decided to take the in-laws on the "Sawtooth loop" (Boise-Idaho City-Lowman-Stanley-Ketchum). We rented a couple of cabins at Jerry's Country Store & Cabins. On the plus side, the location is great. The river is so close you could probably cast a fishing line from the back porch and the view is magnificent. The management was also very friendly.

The facilities however were --badly-- in need of repairs. The faucets in our cabin were hooked up backward (hot on the right), and whoever built these had minimal carpentry skills. The screens were coming out and the roofs decayed and losing shingles.

The worst part was it was a warm evening and even when the night cooled off the cabin was hot and stuffy, even when we opened the windows. One does not expect air conditioning in a cabin but we figured the cool mountain air would cool the cabin off at night. Not! A ceiling fan would have been a blessing.
