What I loved the most about this hotel was the kitchen suite room we stayed in. Which has a 2nd smaller bedroom with a locking door in it. This is perfect for parents who want privacy from their kids, or if traveling with friends and need privacy. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and had a full size fridge. The... More

Spent 6 nights in the area and spent them all at the Meandering Moose. Close to the park, downtown, and lake. We rented bikes, and rode all over town. Great town Sandpoint, ID!!! A Walking town where pedestrians and bikers have the right away... really nice! Also went for short drives up into the mountains and over to Silverwood for... More

Yes this place is not brand new, however I found no problems with that. We weren't paying a high price for a 5 star hotel. We had a room with a double/queen bed and a single. Yeah the beds are older, but we both had a great sleep on them. Sure some updating could be done, but everything worked as... More

The room was old and needed a bit of maintenance. It smelled of mildew. The floor in the bathroom was caving in and left brown stains on the bathmat. The bath towels were the size of hand towels. The air conditioner was old and very loud. The owners seemed more concerned about saving money than accommodating their guests. I heard... More

Management is rude and very unpleasant to work with Rooms are old, small and broke down. Shower door was broken when we got into the room and everyone was too lazy to come fix it during our week long stay.

We were passing through and decided to stay the nite and called. Very nice on the phone and welcoming when we arrived. The room was nice size and the bed was so comfortable. Some noise from the highway but turned on the AC and no more road noise. We would definitely stay again and come prepared to cook on the... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Meandering Moose and would stay (and will again) in a heartbeat. We arrived on the late train (3 a.m.) and when we got to the motel the owner was cheerfully waiting for us to check in. Another guest wanted the room we had reserved, so he switched us to a 2-bed room at... More

Cannot recommend, Stayed here several weeks ago and was very disappointed after reading reviews from other sites. The lodge is advertised as 'updated' yet our room had appeared to be vintage 60's or 70's and was not very clean. Also note - there was baseboard heat in our rooms and when we arrived the heat had not been turned on... More
