It was a surprisingly great experience staying at the Sacajawea Inn! We were traveling on business with an overnight in Salmon, ID, which does not have a lot of options when it comes to hotels. My business partner happened upon a review of the Sacajawea Inn on Trip Advisor and we booked it -- sight unseen. It was a wonderful... More

I spent 3 nights while attending a Symposium in Salmon. This place is not the Ritz, it is so much more than that. A step back in time where the owners are so friendly. You park right next to your room. The rooms are small, but kept very clean and tidy. Each room has a theme. I was in the... More

As a frequent traveler, I try to stick to the well known chains. I know what to expect. I stayed at the Sacajawea Inn on a hunch and couldn't have been more pleased with the service, cleanliness, comfort and value. Even though it's a bit dated, the other attributes more than compensate. It's one of the few places I'd go... More

Quite honestly, this is not the type of hotel we usually stay at. But, for $58.00 per night, it was a great bargain. The service was very friendly; the room was clean; the bed was comfortable. And the hotel charges $3.00 for breakfast for each guest (eggs to order; bacon or ham; coffee or juice) which is simply a steal.... More

The Inn is conveniently located, close to restaurants and stores. The room was clean and comfortable and the people were very friendly and helpful. In fact, they were kind enough to mail me the prescription sunglasses I'd left behind. A very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Great placed to stay in Salmon. We stayed in the 'turkey room' with a great wall mural. As everyone else has said, great hosts, warm and friendly, fab $3 breakfast, clean and comfortable and close to town. We stayed on Barbara's birthday and they did a fab free barbecue for all the guests, with cake! She also gave us lots... More

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay here. Barbara and Walter provide a very homey family atmosphere. We loved the $3.00 full breakfast. The room was small but very nicely arranged with a hand-painted mural of mountain goats on the wall. My favorite part was the hardwood floor, a nice change of pace from the usual grungy... More

Just like all the reviewers said, clean, cute, friendly owners and yummy breakfast for $3.00. Plus dog friendly! Even offered a blanket to put on the bed in case your 4 legged friend likes to sleep in comfort too. I travel with a sheet already but so nice to be asked! Would stay again if in the area!

Stayed here for two nights in early August. Extremely friendly staff and the cleanest small hotel I've stayed at. Breakfast for $3 is toast, eggs, and breakfast potatoes, and is a great value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

I was cheerfully greeted after a long travel day, and my experience here started out wonderfully. I was offered extra rags to wipe down my motorcycle, and shown to my room. And I was also told about the Junkyard Bistro downtown, which was a great tip. My room had a recent facelift, and was clean and comfortable. The free wi... More
