BEST place to stay in Salmon, especially if with a group....with smelly hockey gear and dogs. Have stayed in other motels in the past, and they're just like every other motel, stiff. Barb treats you like family, welcomes your dogs back, cooks an awesome breakfast that should be priced more at $10, fires up a bon fire on the evenings... More

Barbara and Walter go out of their way to assure you have an awesome stay. This has been the 4th year in a row that our coed hockey team stayed at the Sacajawea and I would stay anywhere else. The price is fair. The breakfast is wonderful. The fire pit is a frat gathering spot and the breakfast area makes... More

Came to Salmon for youth hockey tournament. Team manager set up a block of rooms for the team at a couple of hotels and he booked this one so I took the same place. When I called, you could immediately tell they cared. She was aware of our team, the dates, and made it extremely easy. Hung up feeling very... More

The best feature of our stay was the helpful and friendly staff who answered our touristy questions and made dining recommendations that were spot on. From check-in to departure two days later we were made to feel welcomed and comfortable. The cooked to order breakfast on the premises is not to be missed. The rooms are old which reflects in... This was the such an amazing place to stay. The rooms were so clean and cute. The owners are the nicest and kindest people. The fire pits were so much fun, the kids had tons of room to run around and play and the breakfast was so good! If you ever go to Salmon, ID this is the place to... More

Travelling from Australia and having booked at the last minute, we were pleasantly greeted by animal themed rooms that were super cozy and had everything you need - shower, toilet, TV, fridge etc. The home cooked breakfast for $3 was looked forward to every morning......man those eggs!. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us, dropping anything they were... More

We picked this motel from the TA list and phoned ahead for a reservation, then enjoyed the drive up the valley, arriving just after dark. Our room was ready for us, a small but nice cozy room, with everything we needed for the one night we're staying. The room rate was very reasonable, and included breakfast. The young owners built... The room was soooo cozy, and the company was definitely awesome, they made us feel at home, so friendly, will definitely stay every time we visit. After a long day hunting, the bed was so inviting and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing, for only 3 bucks u get 3 eggs ham bacon or sausage potatoes and toast made to... More

If you haven't traveled in the area before, you may be in for a shock when you stay at the Sacajawea. The family-owned place is incredibly welcoming (they cook breakfast to order) and the rooms are animal themed to the point that even the toilet paper holder may be shaped like the room's animal! If you're staying a few nights,... More

All I can say is WOW! I stay at motels 6-8 nights a months and in all my years I have not found anything like the Sacajawea Inn. The rooms are basic budget type but with a major twist. The owners really care about and value their customers. Their attention to detail is what sets this property apart from anywhere... More
