Sandy and Dennis were the perfect hosts at this sweet bed and breakfast situated on the banks of the infamous Snake River. We enjoyed a gourmet breakfast to start each day with world class flyfishing only a few steps beyond the manicured lawn. Relaxing evenings were spent in the outdoor jacuzzi or chilling out in the home theater. Accommodations were... More

We've stayed here three times, and are booking our fourth next week. Dennis and Sandy are the best. They are very kind, thoughtful and attentive. The food is gourmet. Stuffed blueberry French toast, pesto eggs benedict, fresh fruit with toasted coconut. The inn is so beautiful! Theater room in the basement, pool table, a hot tub over looking the river.... More

Everything was perfect. Breakfast was enjoyable. The house is beautiful and the host's attention to details was impressive. Nice view of the Snake River while sitting out on the balcony of the room. We would make a point to stay here again on our next trip to the area.

We were really pleased with our experience at the Blue Heron Inn. Our room was the Canyon Suite which was spacious and afforded us views of the Snake River in two directions as it is on the end of the building. The river is quite close and there is a lovely walking path next to it. We had a balcony... More

Stayed at the Blue Heron three nights while on business in Idaho Falls. My commute into Idaho Falls was twenty miles each way, but traffic was minimal and I felt the Blue Heron's location relative to Idaho Falls was serviceable. Never visited Rigby so cannot speak to restaurants etc. there. The Blue Heron is an attractive property on the Snake... More

We stayed the night before our daughter's wedding. What a fabulous location! My husband didn't realize the place I had reserved was right on the river. After a 9 hour drive, we were delighted to spend a few minutes unwinding right beside the river. We found our accomodations to be everything we would like and more. The bed was comfortable,... More

I cannot say enough about this place!! So clean, so inviting, SO peaceful - it's truly a retreat!! They really have all the amenities you could ask for in a B&B - soaps, lotions, bathrobes, water and snacks in your room, cold drinks and popcorn in the kitchen, movies, puzzle, hot tub, telescope, BEAUTIFUL lodge!! The owners were away when... More

After driving up every street and track, we eventual found the Inn. We even door knocked and a local religious sect had no idea of the Inn's location. Upon arrival our keys were in an envelope selotaped to the front door. There were 2 other lost souls in the names of Gomez and Livingstone. It was like a treasure hunt.... More

I just happened to stumble across this one as I was looking for one night's lodging after seeing Yellowstone and the Tetons. It appeared to be further from the parks than I would have liked, but it also made for a shorter drive home. The alternative was a hotel in Idaho Falls. If you opt for Idaho Falls, you are... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights in the Suite at the Blue Heron Inn while on vacation and decided that overall, this is probably the nicest place we've ever stayed. Everything about the Inn is extraordinary, from the location and views to the breakfasts and the hosts. The excellent reviews on tripadvisor are well-deserved. Nature was abundant with moose,...
