I visited Burgdorf in 1937, as I remember. With my parents and my aunt and uncle, we drove from our cabin on Lot #33, Big Payette Lake. My uncle was troubled by eczema on his forearms, and he wanted to experience the medicinal qualities of the Burgdorf pool. Everything was of wood, and my recollection of it then was that... More

The cabins are wonderful to stay in. Basic , no bedding , so bring all your camping supplies. Cook stoves and ice chests $35 per night per person $10 charge per night for firewood. No power or cell service. Pool is very healing and magical It's well worth the 30 mile trip N of McCall Snowmobiles only access in the... More

We did not stay in the cabins but came just for the hot water. A very historic old pool running out into an old bathtub on the end. This is 13 or so miles out of McCall, in the boondocks. But what great country. This place served miners back in the 1860s and was more on the main drag back... More

We stayed at Burgdorf Hot Springs as part of our adventure on the Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route from the Adventure Cycling Association. The hot-springs pool was just the perfect temperature for our tired muscles. I generally prefer wild hot springs to commercial establishments, but this one was done in a way that was harmonious with the surrounding wild... More

After living in Alaska for 25 years and staying in Road houses, remote lodges and off the beaten path lodging, Burgdorf Hot Springs is is a very fun comfortable place to stay and soak away aches and sore muscles. Leave your laptops, tvs, and cell phones at home there is no service for any of them.(the office has a land line for emergencies)... More

I usually look at the hot springs in the area as the main attraction, but at Burgdorf I'd have to say the wonderfully rustic cabins were what we liked best. The log structure, the hand-made creative stairs leading to the loft, the deck looking out onto the forest lands and mountains all made this a super relaxing place to stay.... More

I am so excited to report that Burgdorf Springs Resort is under new (to me) management : ))) The last time I visited I vowed not to return after some really strange and bizarre behavior on the part of the then-management team. I have since changed my tune! The resort is now conscientiously maintained by a lovely couple whose attention... More

We had a great day soaking in the hot spring. Surrounded by historic buildings and forest it is a great day. USFS was shuttling supplies to their various remote stations from nearby. It was fun watching the helicopter with its load heading out. We did not stay at the cabins, but will in the future. The host was helpful and... More

I absolutely LOVE this place! Rustic, Remote, Off the Grid, Total Relaxation. Yes electricity forget it, Cell service forget it. Once that battery dies you are completely un-plugged and you can submerge in pure relaxation. I highly recommend staying in a cabin. It is like camping though, but with wood walls and a wood stove. This place is magical.

We love the remote location of Burgdorf Hot Springs. The quiet stillness was beautiful. The place looks very rustic and western. The pool has a lovely gravel floor. We noticed when we arrived that the guest before us had arrived and left before us... they had stayed LESS than an hour. Why would they leave in less than an hour?... More
