I love making reviews on places like thing. Everything was way above the expected. Clean rooms, clean bathroom, refrigerator, micro-wave,any wonderful people. I didn't notice weather or not there was wi-fi, but there is no cell phone coverage so they have free phones with long distance. The kitchen is well stocked and you can have anything in there for breakfast.... More

We loved the remote location overlooking the Salmon River; After a long drive from Emigrant, MT, we sat in comfy chairs on the covered patio, enjoyed our wine and the view of the peaceful river. The next morning a doe and 2 fawns frolicked in the river for our entertainment as we enjoyed breakfast and the company of other friendly... More

Wow! The rooms are clean, large and these hosts can'take do enough for their customers! Dishes, a couple of grills, beach towells, real cups and real forks and knives. A community kitchen and seriously thoughtful hosts.. did I mention that? Right along the river, these rooms are within stumbling distance from the many fishing holes on the Salmon River. Quiet,... 12 Australians on a transamerica cycle challenge- welcomed and looked after. We had an early finish for the day and spent hours enjoying the gazebo overlooking the river and resting up for the next day. The communal kitchen was a godsend. Spaghetti Bologna for 12 was easy to make as every pot and plate was available. Enough room for everyone... More

This roadside/riverside gem is worth more than a mere glance. The motel is only nine rooms, each with eclectic decor and most with kitchenettes. The rooms are spacious, some with queen bed plus an extra single just in case you have a child or third person. They give you plenty of towels, more than any other lodging we've stayed. The linens... All their rooms are extremely clean and quiet. Full kitchen upstairs stocked with food and open all the time. They are amazing people and the view is fabulous from the gazebo. We have stayed here many times and will return many many more times. Love love love it!!! Affordable and they care about every guest. Homemade breakfast sandwiches are just... More

This is the third time my wife and I have visited the Steelhead Inn. This time we were with family, three other couples. If you want a relaxed feel at home experience this is the Inn to stay at. If you want big city chain hotels go on down the road. Kenn and Nancy continue to amaze me with their... More

Nancy and Kenn are the quintessential owners and hosts. You would think their entire goal is not to make a living, but to take care of their guests needs and desires. But of course this attitude is the hallmark of a very successful venture and they are the best. I have know this motel/guest setting for many years and none... More

The Steelhead Inn is attractive from the moment you turn into the drive, clean, nicely maintained, well appointed, and cozy. Kenn and Nancy have created a homey atmosphere, with all of the amenities. We felt very welcomed. We will be back!

The rooms are simple but clean and filled with everything you could need. It's a very peaceful place with the river flowing by and horses and deer feeding on the shore. Nancy and Kenn are immediately like old friends. A kitchen filled with everything you could want for breakfast and even fresh banana bread...yum! The grounds were beautiful..filled with flowers...
