I had a motorcycle breakdown at Sourdough. Very tough situation to be in at such a remote location.Staff was very kind and helpful. Between giving me a jump, providing a battery charger, calling some locals to inquire about a replacement battery...they went above and beyond. They also provided a land line phone (no cell service) Also had a great Lunch!

We stopped at the Sourdough Lodge for a late breakfast on Monday morning as we made our way home from our annual Stanley Lake campout/fishing trip. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two scrambled eggs and Aimee had the Sourdough Omelet. Everything was delicious; especially the light, fluffy biscuits, and the coffee flowed freely! Our server, Abbey, was attentive,... More

I realize we can all have different experiences at any given location, but I've passed through the Sawtooth Lodge more times than I can count. It is the last outpost for food and supplies for the East side of the Sawtooths and a staple for the community of Lowman. It is a stopover for those driving in the summer from... More

A group of eight rode our motorcycles from the Boise Valley to have breakfast/lunch. When the male server took our orders he made miniscule notes on a small piece of paper. When he brought our orders to us he gave the wrong meals to just about everybody. We had to hand plates around the table to get the food to... More

We have stayed at this quaint mountain lodge at least half a dozen times over the past 10+ years, as we return from a river rafting float of the Middle Fork River in Idaho. We rented a cabin for a recent stay, and were saddened to see that these new'ish cabins were dirty and in need of some maintenance. The... More

We stopped here for lunch and tried to order a drink with lunch since we saw all the liquor bottles. No can do since it is a liquor store too! The food was okay and the service was slow. My lunch special was an almost uncooked bacon wrapped around a mediocre steak with canned corn. At least the fries were... More

I've stayed here twice and had two very different experiances. First time we were next to what sounded like a machinery room. Noisy and very HOT! Second time was very comfortable and quiet. Small and quaint its a nice getaway location with a fairly decent reataurant. Gas prices were very high at the one pump out front

We weren't sure what accomodations would be available on our route, so after reading reviews, called Sourdough Lodge ahead of time to be sure we had a place to stay. Rooms were small , but clean & we enjoyed our stay. Thought it might be noisy, but were pleasantly surprised & we did get a good nights sleep even though... More

It depends who you are and what you are looking for. If you are a hunter, or want something one up from camping this is for you. We arrived at the Sourdough Lodge from Stanley where most of the lodghing appeared to be running down for the season. It was also very smokey due to the fires in the mountains... More
