We were the first people to stay here in March, 2014 and the only ones in the facility. The staff were extremely nice and caring. The grounds were well manicured and the electrical boxes and water spigots all appeared to be new. Nice location along the river and in walking distance to the famous thai restaurant downtown and lava hot... More

We were on a camping tour of the West of the States and were on our way from Lake Tahoe to Yellowstone. We stopped here for a night to break the journey. It was lovely to not have to put up the tent and bliss to have a matress to sleep on. Lovely restrooms and showers with good dish washing... More

We were pulling our RV to Yelllowstone and decided to spend a night in Lava Hot Springs and enjoy the hot springs. We made reservations at the KOA. When we pulled in everyone was very nice and we were directed to a nice grassy spot that backed right up to the river. We also noticed that we were right next... More

We've made the trip to this camp ground at least once every year, before it was a KOA. The new owners have made some nice improvements to the property. I was reluctant to come this year after a scheduling snafu with the new owners during their transition period. Glad I still came.

It was too noisy and too dirty here. Noise from cars, trains, and planes. Very dirty here, not worth the high price. We stayed here for one night and would not come back. Next time, we will push down the road and find someplace cheaper.

KOA, great that you can get in late, but the spot that we had....and almost every other spot we looked at were SO SMALL, we did fit 2 tents but it was tent to tent, NO ROOM, the campsites and placed inbetween trees so yes there was shade, but your neighbor was there the WHOLE time, no serenity which usually... The wife and I stayed here while visiting the springs. We stayed at one of the smaller deluxe cabins and it was nice. The new owners are great and are really fixing up the place. They are way friendly and willing to help with what ever problems you have. The road is noisy but you get used to it. The... More

KOA has full setup with private bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink with laundry facility and gas grill, stove, sink under pavilion with lots of tables that are kept clean. Each campsite has a pit for a fire and a picnic table. We stayed for 4 nights and we love being close to the river for the dogs and kids... More

It can be hard to judge this campground because my rating is based on the entire area of Lava Hot Springs. This is a tiny little town that, in itself, has fallen into a little disrepair. It is also in a very small "valley" between 2 hills, so if you want to be anywhere near the hot pools themselves, you... More

We stayed at the KOA for school break last weekend. the facility is up and coming with improvement being made. We stayed 2 days and the owners had no problem that we stayed until 4 pm on the day we left. The grounds were a bit rough and the pull throughs a bit narrow, I have a 30 foot trailer,... More
