We went to Lava for a wedding and stayed for two nights at the Alpaca Inn. The rooms are very well stocked. They have a refrigerator and microwave and very comfy furnishings. They are only a half a block from the main street and very close to everything. The rooms are also very quiet. There was a couple with a... More

Perfect for families. Very clean. The staff is amazing. Beautiful lawn to play and visit on. Perfect location, very close to everything but off of the busy main street. Close enough to walk to pools and restaurants.

We have stayed here several times. The Owners/management are very accommodating. The rooms are rustic, clean and stylish. I absolutely love this place. I can't say enough about it. Lovely romantic setting!

Our two-night stay at Alpaca Inn was pleasant. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of shopping, dining and attractions in the downtown area, including the Portneuf River and the hot springs. It was a relatively relaxing two-night visit, although sleeping was difficult. The air condition rattled constantly when in operation. We originally reserved No. 8 based on earlier... More

The staff (Jodi) was wonderful during our stay and very friendly. The place was very neat and tidy, and the accommodations were perfect for a small family. We had one of the larger rooms for the evening and Jodi and his staff made sure our stay was a comfortable one. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area any time... More

Clean lovely room with everything you'd need. Cute decor: a mix of rustic wood and bling-y bedding, curtain and lamp. It also had a ceiling fan which I really appreciate in a hotel room. The bathroom was spa-ish yet home-y. The bedroom area had a little table with two chairs, microwave and fridge, also a couch for lounging, and of... More

We brought 20 employees & families in for the July 4th weekend, renting the 2-story house and cabin. This is the best choice for Lava, centrally located, clean, with plenty of amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen. 13 people snuggled into the house, with 7 in the cabin. The cabin will soon have a 2nd bedroom. The only drawback... More

Beautiful property, helpful friendly owners and very happy with our room. It was very nicely decorated, small frig and microwave. Very clean and comfortable, just one block off main and within walking distance to everywhere. Bed was super comfortable. Liked the coffee pot in the room for our first early morning Joe. No complaints at all.

We live in SLC and decided to get away for the night and escape to Lava. I found the Alpaca Inn on trip advisor and it had great reviews so we booked our stay in room #6. It was a privilege upon arrival, meeting Dinah, she is so genuine and friendly. She made our experience a unique one. The room... More

Spent one night here as we travelled from WA to CO over Memorial Day weekend. What a find! The Alpaca Inn is clean, reasonable, and has nice extra touches that you don't find in chain hotels. The woman that checked us in, Dinah, was extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile. We stayed in Room #1 (right next... More
