Pros: A very comfortable stay. The beds were very cozy with a good variety of sheets and blankets to choose from. It was a good space for my family of 6 to hang out: on the porch and in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, a coffee maker, toaster and microwave. The hot tub was a... More

I have stayed in West Yellowstone before, and it is a crowded, touristy town. I took a chance and booked a 3 bedroom cabin in Island Park, ID at The Pines. It was awesome!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. The kitchen had great appliances and was fully stocked with dishes and cooking supplies.... More

We are on day 2 of 7 and are disappointed. Right when we walked in, the cabin smelled like propane. My husband asked someone to come check, and the desk clerk said the technician was offsite. My husband found the pilot light was out and fixed it himself, no one called or came by to check up with us. We... More

This place exceeded our expectations for our family of 7. They have thought of everything to insure their guests have a wonderful stay. From cozy beds that you can snuggle down into after a long day of fishing or sightseeing to a well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, cups, utensils) with a dishwasher . The cabin was absolutely inviting, clean and... More

My family and I made reservations at another resort in Island Park, only to show up and find the place closed down. We were in a panic as to where we were going to stay the night. We found Pines Phillips Lodge online, where it stated they had a 3 night minimum stay. We called and explained our situation. They... More

West Yellowstone is about 30 minutes from here. A beautiful drive, each morning we saw pronghorn antelope in the meadows. The cabin was tucked away in the woods. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet. The one amenity I wish The Pines provided was breakfast, but the restaurant only serves lunch and dinner. There are many restaurants in West Yellowstone.... More

These cabin/homes built around the Phillips Lodge property are anything but "cabins". Log homes with all the refinements--wraparound deck- granite counters- good beds-great bathrooms-very modern kitchens. In the heart of the Yellowstone region, the Park and world class fishing are easily accessable (although this is in western speak which means an hour or two is no big deal). Well cared... More

We were thrilled to arrive at the Pines and find our cabin so clean, well maintained, and peaceful. We loved the high ceilings, the jacuzzi, and the deck. Our favorite place to go while we were there, besides Yellowstone, was Mack's float, on route 20, down the Big Springs water trail. As we kayaked down the river, we encountered three... More

We reserved a room for three nights. The first thing we noticed was that it was expensive. $1260.36 ($420.12/night) for the three-bedroom cabin with loft. It’s not that expensive because it was a stand-alone unit with a hot tub and wrap-around porch. It was also near Harriman State Park, so the location was just what we wanted. The first odd... More

Four generations, 40 people, a mix of economic situations, travel methods, and family sizes, huge differences in interests and comfort levels in outdoor settings....how on earth do you accommodate everyone in one lodging and location choice? The Pines proved to be our nearly ideal answer for a 3-day family reunion! The setting was remote-feeling, yet easy to reach for travelers... More
